HI Guys,

Just wanna ask something, so the Canada Post already delivered my Inland PR application, so what should i do now? Is there any notifications that CIC will give me notification that they already received my application?

Thanks,
Pritha K.
You wait. You check e-cas every hour. You worry.
In other words, you join the group... Welcome to the madness.

I've seen plenty of reports of fraud cases on here, but I've never seen one where someone used a brain injury/illness and pregnancy in order to justify their (very recent) overstay. She's not even 30 days overstayed at this point, she has been ill and has a newborn baby. I've never known any new parent who was getting enough sleep during the first month after bringing a newborn home. So personally, I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Further, my read is that she wants to fix her status issue. She might have made a very common inland mistake by not submitting a temporary status application along with her permanent status application, but that's hardly grounds for what seems like a rather harsh judgmental position. Further, she knows it's an issue and she wants to rectify it.
People seldom post all the details of their case on the forum here - they are looking for advice because they are scared or confused, exactly the times when people are not necessarily willing or able to share everything with us. That doesn't make them fraudulent, it makes them human.

Hi computergeek: Nicely defended and explained about the forum. We are human.

CIC will send you AOR eventually. AOR means they got your application (but probably haven't begun to process yet).

Inland applications are on a big backlog lately. I wouldn't hold your breath to wait to hear from them. Normally it takes 6 months to get Stage 1 finished, right now they are at 9 months without progress.

Hopefully you send the application signature required so you have proof they signed for it.

Not everyone gets one. It's rare to get an AOR.

Actually, I think most of us who work at a computer just hit refresh every 10 minutes. Every hour seems a bit lazy...

Hey folks,

Just a quick question/clarification on any question on the inland common-law sponsor forms for myself or my sponsor that asks for the date you entered into the common-law relationship.

That is the date we became common-law right ? i.e we moved in on 1st March 2012 so March 1st 2013 would be the date we entered our common law relationship ? Although we started sharing banks accounts, bills, rent as of March 1st 2012

We have been dating since April 2011 now but only have started living together in March of 2012.

So they (the CIC VO's) would see that as being living together/common-law for over a year then ?
Just get a bit nervous & over thinking everything just about to send my app.

Thanks everyone

I believe the date you entered the common-law relationship would be March 1 2012.

That's what i thought but I found this in the guide that's all. So I'm thinking i have to go re-type out my form again

Enter the date (year, month, day) you were married or you entered into your current common-law relationship.

Note: This is the date your status officially changed from being single to common-law, not the date you started living together.

I know people who have answered the questions both ways and been approved. My interpretation is the day Canada would legally recognize you as common-law (so after 12 months) but I don't think this question will sink you if you answer it as the day you physically moved in together either.

Can Anyone please assist me on how I may check the status of my spousal application through the Havana Cuba visa office. From what I understand I am able to find out the status through the Havana Visa office.

thank you
Brooksee
