Hi guys!

Just a quick question. I just paid the fee last night via online payment and I fill out all the informations on the printed receipt but where could I get the client id? I have my UCI/client id from my permanent resident file. Should I use it or this client id is different number from my PR file?

And another thing, where should I place the Appendix A (Country specific guide) checklist? AFTER or on the TOP of the sponsored/spouse forms?

Thank you so much.

The client ID is your UCI or File#.

You can put the Appendix A on top.

Tnx Mrs. Selim...

But wondering how it will affect my application if i change it now or what i can do to change it once i have landed.

Compuetrgeek, canadianJeepguy, Leon....anyone.... able to shed some light here....

would it complicate my process any further? And i'll be moving to edmonton (b4 anyone wonders if im moving to quebec)

Name changing should have been done prior to submitting you application. Get your sponsor to contact CIC and see what is involved in changing your name on your app.

But i just wanna ask that first i request to withdraw an application but then i called cic to not to stop that file n plz access that so i don't know what would happen.

I m really confusd.

I have been reading your posts since last couple of days. I really feel that you are taking all ur decisions in rush. I would suggest u to cool down. Start living with your husband and see how he treats you, do not contact CIC right now. In the mean time, both of you get ID's with same address on it.... like driver's license, phone bills, bank statements etc. Live together for atleast 2 months and then re-apply with a cover letter explaining your situation and don't forget to mention that you guys are happy with each other.

Other benefit of this wait will be that you will know ur husbands intentions because if he is just pretending to be nyc with you then it would be hard for him to act for a long time. You are very young, so please don't ruin your life by taking so quick decisions.

Good luck with your life :)

I've known my husband for like a year now and in that one year i went to visit him like 4 times, i have the plane tickets, we also stayed at hotels few times i have recipts and we have lots of pictures together and have phone bills we use to talk like 3-4 hours a day + on skype... will these things be enough for proofs?

Yep. Any gifts you gave each other, take photos, or if you've given each other cards, photocopy them and send them too. If you've met any of his friends or family, maybe ask them to write about how they perceive the relationship as well.

Has anyone tried to visit Canada under a Visitor's visa while their application for permanent residency is being processed outside the Country?
ie. I'm in Australia and my wife(Canadian) had to move over to Canada early. I'd like to visit if I could, but worried I'll be stopped at Customs.

Generally, those from visa exempt countries have little problem. Carry a copy of the sponsor approval letter with you and have evidence that you don't plan on staying more than six months (e.g., a return ticket, evidence that you still have a job and/or a residence) and you won't have any problems.

That information on the receipt is only used if they need to issue you a refund - it specified who receives the refund.

Have you applied for any visas with Canada before? Work, study, visitor, etc?

If yes, your Client ID/UCI will be in your documents from previous visa applications.

If this is your first application to CIC, you probably don't have a UCI yet. You will be assigned one after they get your PR application.

Who ever does the spread sheet, may I please be added to it?

There isn't a general spreadsheet. There is one for Feb 2013 and probably one for Havanna, although I don't know for sure. You would need to find the appriorate threads and post in them OR view Parker's spreadsheet of spreadsheets and locate the proper ones. They will probably tell you who to PM.

That's a hard question to ask on this forum. We are all people who want only to be reunited with our partners so its difficult to hear of those in less than perfect situations.
Will your wife work when she gets here? Does she know how expensive Toronto can be? Will her sister pay her bills? Send her back to school to get training for a far more competitive job market?
I lived in Toronto for 30 years and have relocated to Winnipeg. I miss my friends but I don't miss anything else. If you think that your wife would rather live with her sister than her husband it may be time to pull the plug.

--- You are so right my friend, CanadianJeepGuy. I asked her last night all these questions that you put in your post. She was mostly quiet and avoiding. You are very right that she will be sent to school as well as work....then she might understand. her sister already living in Canada for longer than 13 years.....So that stu....p..id lady is crashing her sister`s mind before even she is here. What a sad story, and I stopped talking to her already.

My question to you:
If I was in your situation - I was Canadian sponsoring my husband and I had the same story, what would you think about my situation? Don't be romantic and apply your own feelings. Be objective. If this happened to your brother, cousin, or friend, what would you say?

I agree......amikety. Thanks.

lacrosse - your situation raises a LOT of red flags to me. To be honest, it sounds like you don't really know your wife very well, which is understandable since you haven't known her all that long and the marriage was somewhat arranged. Just remember your own comment about how YOU are on the hook financially for her when (if) she finally arrives. Are you fully comfortable with that? I think you know the answer.
