a friend of mine received letter with UCI number on 20 april but he can not verify status on line.....he sponsored his wife....how much time he needs to get SA and do after that will be able to verify status on line.Did he need first SA than verify status on line
Hello,
It took me a few days after AOR, to see the status on-line. In other words, don't have to wait for SA. Keeping in mind ecas is not very reliable, in my case it stopped working for a while, then started working again! Good luck.

Every document who's not in english or french must be translated and notarized.

Hi,

I am applying for Sponsorship for my wife (Islamabad office), I am a naturalized Canadian citizen living in Canada for 14 years and my wife lives in Pakistan. Can someone assist me with the following questions:
- Do I (Sponsor) need to fill out Schedule A Background and Declaration Form
- Do I (Sponsor) need to fill out Additional Family Information Form
- Do I (Sponsor) need to submit my Birth Certificate
- Are there Bio-metric requirements for Sponsorship, If so at what stage of the application does that happen
- Is there anything else that is required from the Sponsor, apart from what is required in Part 1 of the sponsorship documents i.e. Country Specific guide

Thanks

She will need to complete an x-ray in order to pass the medical and complete the application process. Most doctors recomment against having an x-ray done while pregnant - however it's ultimately up to you.

1 Schedule A Background and Declaration Form is Applicable to Sponsored Person not to you.
2 You do not need to fill Additional Family Information Form your spouse need to fill.
3 you do not need to Provide Birth Certificate but your Spouse need to Provide.

If you are Applying to Sponsor your Spouse Out-land there are no Bio-metric Requirement. If in case Immigration Officer have any doubt about Criminal Background then they may Ask but i have not heard for any Spousal Immigration yet.
Just follow Document Checklist it has Given separate section for Sponsor and Sponsored Person.
If you have Followed Document Checklist and Country Specific guide then you should be Ok.

Police checks are required for the applicant for every country where s/he has lived for 6 months or longer since age 18. Most of these checks (but not all) DO require biometrics (fingerprints).

AOR-Acknowledgement of Receipt.
Means your application has been received by the visa office. Then u will get file number and UCI to check ur status.
SA-sponsor approval
Means u r approved as sponsor then ur file will be transferred to the VO.
