I had this question too when I was going through the papers- it's all online now. When my husband went to get his medical done he was given this piece of paper with a barcode on it. There's no IMM form or anything to attach to it. The physician sends it electronically and you send that barcode paper with your application and they will see it in the system.

You have sent your application to a P.O Box therefore you won't get a signature. They have left a card for cic to come pick it up . I'm sure they go daily.. and yes many people have done the same thing.

Hi,

We applied permanent residency for my wife in May 2014 . She is in Canada on work permit . We received a letter in email on February 2015 mentioning the application number .The application number does not provide any update online yet .I wanted to know how long it might take as when we applied the processing time showed was 10 month for first stage but now it has jumped to 18 months.

Apart from that I wanted to know I wanted to visit my back home October 2015 for a month or 1.5 month .My work permit expires in December 2015 .So am I allowed to exit Canada and how long (though me and my husband will be going together) .

Please somebodyyyy help

My online status shows:
Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on July 21, 2014.
Medical results have been received.

But a month ago, we received a request for a copy of the passport. But the status is not changed. This is normal? And I cant go to the site with my IMM 5401.(We were not able to identify you using the information you provided)
What does this mean?

I don't know the answer, but it would be more helpful if you stated what country the vo is and you may get an answer from someone.

Should I apply a permanent resident with my previous passport with previous surname? Which it have multiple entry canada visa. Or should I apply with my new passport with my new surname? I am South African citizen and have South Africa passport. Busy with Sponsorship application.

Hi everyone! i just received the email from CIC that they are "pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in Etobicoke will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your permanent resident application". Does anybody know how long I have to wait to be contacted by this centre??

I'm wondering, how long do I have to wait before I can view the information online? Right now, I can't seem to see anything.

it will take quite some time. you have to wait until you receive Sponsor's approval (SA) - the e-mail they send you contains the UCI (unique client identifier) which lets you verify your status online.
since SA processing takes around 2 months now (from the day your application arrived at their office in Mississauga) , you still have to wait.
