Campana specifically says they can't rely solely on a policy manual to justify a decision if it is not supported by the law. Their own policy manual says it too.

I totally understand not wanting to go to court but the being out of status and potentially in trouble with the CIC is pretty awful too. You usually don't have long to apply for judicial review. You might want to consider it. If I was in your shoes I would seriously consider sitting down with a lawyer who knows the judicial review process.

Also, if you don't want to sue the lawyer/consultant who screwed up, why don't you report them to their governing body?
I went 2 lawyers for legal advice. They all suggest me to wait decision on AIP. I called cic many times, they told you can do nothing but wait. Can i apply for judicial review when the case is still processing? i am really afraid they will tear us apart, i cry everyday :'(. so depressed.

Thank you so much for reply, i really appreciate it!

Hey guys, a little help here:
I received AoR yesterday and my wife (sponsor) have 2 family names
On AoR letter it came abbreviated.
Example: her name is Mary Johnson Jones.
On the letter Mary Jo Jones.
How am I able to access Ecas?
Using her complete family name or the way it came on the letter?
Thanks!

Thank you for your answers.

A few more questions for the Document Checklist:
Q15: If your spouse is a co-signer, photocopy of your spouse's... PR card, Canadian Citizenship ect.
My wife is Canadian and she is applying to be my sponsor. I understand that I put N/A in the box?
Q17: We are wondering if my wife applies to get an Option C. My wife hasn't lived in Canada for 5 years and has made no money in Canada during that period of time. Is an Option C necessary? If not, we could just write a letter describing her situation.
However if she needs it, she will have to apply for it. And because we are living abroad and they can send it to us, but it will take a week, maybe more. We want to send our documents asap. Is there an option to send the application without the option C and send the Option C to Mississauga later?
Q18: Proof of employment:
Provide on original letter from your current employer...
Is a Work contract OK or it has to be a letter (the work contract says nothing about regular hours per week)?
Q27: Proof medical examination... (copy 1 of Medical Report Client Biodata and Summary (IMM1017, signed and provided by the panel physician).
I have got my health checked but all I got form the panel physician is a 'e-medical Information Sheet'. They told me that I don't have to bring any applications (or even pictures) because they send my medical information towards Internet. They gave me a printout and said that I have to attach it to my application (it includes my name, date of birth, nationality, identity details and medical exam status.
Is the document I've got from the panel physician enough?

Thank you.

15 - N/A

17 - She doesn't need an Option C. Include a letter why.

18 - A work contract should be fine. I used my original offer letter and a few recent payslips to show I was still employed there.

27 -The document you were given is fine.

Hello Everyone - We recently were requested for re-medical on 9th April, this is the only correspondence we got from our VO since our SA in June 2014. We have handed in the medical last week - anyone can give us a time frame, when we can expect to hear from our VO in Abu Dhabi for PPR ?

Hi, can you please help. More I read, more I think I did something wrong!!! So we've sent my app for inland sposorship on september 2014. Still no word from the CIC. We did not receive AOR nor anything else that would tell us something is going on lol But my question is: how much was I supposed to pay? I only paid $550 (Principal applicant (including $75 for sponsorship)) Now I see people are paying extra for something else and I am so lost    . Please is someone willing to explain it to me!! Also, I applied for owp (pilot project) in beginning of March (2015) and still waiting on that too. Hopefully I have paid that one correctly lol

Please and thank you! Mj :)

1 you can keep both separate to make it easy but not necessary.
2 follow the document checklist for order as they appear in order follow the same to make it easy.IMM 0008 should be on top with Bar-code as per guideline.
3 Do not staple it use clip binder to keep together.
4 you can keep in envelopes and write description and also you can write which Form and Question Number it is Supporting. Then it can be kept together in single envelop for All photos that have more small envelopes

Best of Luck

I'm an outland application, but I went the same route as you for paying fees. The other part is the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF), which is $490. You will have to pay this eventually (people here suggest after you receive your AOR), but it is not required upfront. It just saves time if it is paid before they request/need it.

You have not done wrong some people prefer not to pay Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) $490 upfront. They wait for RPRF request and then pay this fee. Some will pay before along with their Application so they pay $475 + $75 + $490 = 1040 .So you should be able to Pay RPRF later on request. Best of Luck

Hi.
Do I have to include IMM3059 (dedicated to Warsaw) if I am including IMM3902 (dedicated to Eastern Europe)?

My Canadian wife lives with me outside of Canada, we have no kids.
I want to pay fees so I go to Online payment and do I choose "Family class"? If so, in the "Family class" section there is:
- "Sponsorship application (per application)" 75 CAD
- "Principal applicant" 475 CAD
- "Right of Permanent Residence Fee" 490 CAD.
Is that correct? I am confused cause in the guide IMM3900 it says:
- "Sponsor", not "Sponsorship application (per application).

Hello Garry
Thanks for sharing this info. Regarding the receipt, if I pay online, CIC will email the reciept right? And I'm going to fill up that receipt with name, address, etc. whose name I am going to write? My name as a sponsor or my husbands name( principal applicant)
Thank you

The Guide 3900 page says this:
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document.

Now, does this mean that we have to have the original plus a certified copy? The way it's worded, it sounds like that.

You have to have a certified copy (for example translate the original at the sworn translator) plus attach the photocopy of the original.

If you look at the title of IMM3059, it clearly states "Sponsorship of parents, grandparents, adopted children and other relatives". It is not applicable to spousal sponsorship.

Yes, those are the correct fees.
