is it normal to recieve sa and they did not finish my background check? or just the agent said anything to me
SA is for sponsor, they already finished sponsor's side that's the reason you got the letter about SA and decision made on sponsor's side.. now they're working on principal applicant side. either way you're still inside your 12 months process can be normal. I would be worried if had passed the 12 months deadline

Same - Nov 28 2016 applicant.

Both sides changed to "In Process" on May 24th, on the same day as request for fingerprints/RCMP check, which was submitted 3 weeks ago. Nothing since then, and they haven't even confirmed they received the RCMP check.

Hi,
Don’t worry guys no news is positive, just let good vibes rule. By next month my estimate you’ll be all done or awaiting your landed letter. Cheers

Hello,

I have a question about the landing appointment/interview.

Do they stamp the passport, or they just giving the COPR?

They don’t stamp your passport if you’re inland they give you your CoPR only and then you receive the “travel” card by mail

I know there are still some 2016 applicants, and you are not alone, I am one of you:( just wanna share my timeline with you guys, hopefully all of us will complete the whole process soon.

I sent my application in late August,2016.
Application was received in early September,2016.
Fingerprint was required in April, 2017.
Medical check was required in June, 2017.
We received Sponsor Decision Made Letter in January, 2018.
For applicant side, no new updates on CIC websites.
Today, Approval in Principle Letter was received, but still waiting for DM letter.

Good luck to everyone!

I am also one of the 2016 spouse stream applicants and I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I got the COPR letter on June 4 and I landed successfully in Calgary yesterday. I appreciate the support and the updated information I get from everyone in this forum. PR application is a long journey and I hope everyone with the happy ending soon. I shared my timeline below:

Application was received on December 2, 2016
police certificate required at April 1, 2017
Medical examination received at November 2017
Received phone call from IRCC on June 2nd, 2018
Decision made on June 3, 2018
COPR letter received on June 4, 2018
Approve in principle letter received on June 6, 2018
Landed on June 20, 2018

Thanks all.
