Are you in Ontario? Do you know if they stamp the IMM form from CIC or there is another form they have. I remember when I had to go there one time, I had to use their legal size paper.

Also we have sent the declaration whenever we applied for sponsorship, do I have to give CIC the same copy from December 2016 (and notarize that old copy) for OWP or we can sign let's say today's date?
I'm in Quebec, I filled up the form before at home and we just brought up to them sign it.

I would make a new one more up to date

Any child born in Canada immediately has Canadian citizenship. So, yes, it's correct. As long as they knew of the birth (it's a dependent of yours), that's all that matters. For that, an updated IMM 0008 and birth certificate is enough. If you didn't submit that, it's a bit late to worry now. Bring it with you when you land, and explain you had spoken with the call centre.
Wife of xKevinx here. Just an update as we've had our landing interview and Kevin is now a PR! We did not notify CIC of our son's birth (newborn haze and generally just didn't think of it). We went to the landing interview & we came prepped with his birth certificate but chose not to update the IMM0008. Kevin mentioned we'd had our son, but all they asked was if our son was Canadian (which he is). They didn't ask to see anything further.

Happy New Year People!
I am one of the silent followers of this forum page.
I have got my DM on both sides at ecase on December 12 and AIP and SA on December 14 by email. However, I did not get any email or update on CIC. Is it normal?
What is AIP and SA looks like? Thank you in advance.

I am filling IMM 5710 form to get an Open Work Permit. They request to put information about my prospective employer. Do I have to fill this information in if I am applying for an OWP under sponsorship?

Details of intended work in Canada
Question 1
  1. Indicate the type of work permit you want:
    • Co-op work Permit
    • Exemption from Labour Market Impact Assessment
    • Labour Market Impact Assessment Stream
    • Live-in Caregiver Program
    • Open Work Permit
    • co-op
    • post-graduation work permit
    • Other
  2. If you choose “Other” in question 1a), provide details.
If you chose “Open work permit” or post-graduation work permit no information is required for question: 2,3,4,6,7,8.

i am worried because i did not get aip . is it normal. because all people received aip and sa
I can let you know from what I've seen (for example, you can view the inland spreadsheet) that sometimes AIP and SA can happen on the same day, but more often there are a few days between the two. I even found some examples from 2017 and 2016 where there can be 1-2 months between AIP and SA. Since you applied July 11, 2017, I would suggest waiting for another 4-6 weeks before getting too worried, as you're still under the 12 month timeframe.
