Most places work Monday. They will typically give Friday or Monday off. Only government offices, banks, and schools close for both..

But given that it's a call Centre, it may still be manned...

Psshhhhh... Being off Monday is overrated (totally jeally here).

Who knows, if IRCC is working (we know they are working 24h a day now), you might already have a DM by Tuesday .

Has anyone on the 2016 thread been on a cruise to the Caribbean? I know several here are of Caribbean origin, so that's why I ask. Wifey and I are considering a short (3-6) day cruise that would leave form either Florida or Texas. Any suggestions on destinations?

One of the interesting ones we were considering had a landing on the Yucitan, where there is Mayan ruins... but, we are just guessing. Input from those from the area greatly appreciated .

Had a coworker who just came back from a trip with Royal Caribbean Cruise. Her family loved it. They took the 7 days one and still it felt short.

Speaking of medicals, in case anyone in TO wanna know, the medical at 100 Richmond st west near the Sheraton Hotel cost $240 unlucky for my sister, she works your typical office hours so it's difficult to book a medical elsewhere

Got update here, I'm the Mar 16 applicant, checked status today and both become 'DM' under sponsor and applicant.Just got medical request end of March and submitted one week later. No SA and AIP before.I haven't received any email from cic yet. Hope everything goes smooth until the last step of the long journey. Wish everyone a happy easter!

I havent checked for long time, it's always said 'in progress' and 'received'.I noticed SA email sent on April 12,no AIP so far. And ECAS just showed medical passed and eligibility review in progress.
