Hi,

It is pretty common to have the background check ongoing pretty much the whole time. I have seen in this forum that people got DM and background check was still on. I am June 01 applicant and my BG check is on since last July.

Hi,

Does anyone has Background check still in process? Mine has been like that for months, i would say like 8 months and it hasnt changed. I already sent everything.

Please, any info helps.

I applied on Jun 6th 2016.

Thanks! ;D

Hope everyone had a good Easter.

Nyet to SA/AIP. I just checked.

I love all fish including salmon.

I have been on two Royal Caribbean Cruises. Both to the Caribbean. It was so much fun. One was a week the other was 10 days.

My friend just left on Saturday for a three day Bahama cruise. I will get all the details when she comes back tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for suggestions!

Today we did something very cool... for those who like to eat fish, we participated in the Salmon run in Georgian Bay. During this time, the Salmon chase bait fish, as they all make their way into the tributaries to spawn...

Within 3 hours we'd caught out legal quotas for sport licenses (5 each), all 10lbs or more. Half a huge cooler full of cleaned filets (20 filets; 50lbs of usable meat).

The wife, an avid fish eater, is buzzing... I will need to peel her off the ceiling before bed...

Does that mean you will be having a fish fry to celebrate DM?

Possibly. The missus brought half of one of the filets for lunch yesterday... as she started into it, she commented, "This is like a huge steak -- I don't think I will be able to finish this all."

Now, on that note, today IS sugary Tuesday. We need to find out who is next to ride the cool sugary Tuesday train.... that and the wife's medical should be back today (he said latest is tomorrow).

As Sam pointed out, it's pretty common to have the BG check in progress for the duration. Some may see it completed, but most reported that it was in progress even after they received DM.

Looks like CIC is snacking on zero sugar cookies these days. I cant recall the last time this group went nearly silent.

I'll grab some caramel popcorn and wait good news!

Update with us:

We have decided to submit a brand new PCC to CIC. The one we sent originally is now expired anyway...won't hurt us to just send them a new one.
We have 60 days to comply with this so we also have more than enough time to get all that done and submitted.

Profiler was on sabbatical.

Your PCC technically doesn't expire to CIC. Only becomes invalid if you'd entered that country again after it's issuance (assuming that you don't have to be physically present in the country to get it).

ECAS for us has been in the same state for almost a month. But we lost 3 weeks putzing about for a medical. Today or Tomorrow Dr Scott says it should be submitted.

So, I will totally be blowing my April 18 (then April 22) guess(es). But if you add 2 weeks, that's when I suspect we will have the luncheon at Kitchener CIC...

If you look at the inland spreadsheet, and filter out the name or 3 that we don't normally see activity from, looks like legolg is up next....

Filtering a little more, and there is browning...

Of course, the source is the spreadsheet, so there might be one or two that I missed...

The wheels in my head started turning when i realized that he got the first PCC while he was still in Guyana. Just a few days before he left to come to Canada....so...remember your theory" could have committed a crime on his way to the airport" got the wheels going ...

It isn't very difficult to get a PCC for us. the worst part is having to drive alllll the way to Scarberia ( scarborough) to get fingerprints done and then to North York to the consulate etc.

Friends don't let friends travel to Scarberia....

Seems like my theories are pretty ridiculous. People really shouldn't listen to them...

Drank the kool-aid, I see... ;)

Well, anyway, we fell into the same trap last year too. We were able to get a Russian PCC from the Consular office in Toronto, that is NEVER OPEN. You mail the request, and if you include the customary bribe of $15, they will return to you a PCC in english within a week.

It was cherry Kool Aid and it was delicious ! 8) Hopefully not the same flavor Jim Jones gave those people ....

Uh oh the bribes, ubiquitous across the globe and in every culture !
