Rabat never updates GC-key or ECAS. Your background check is usually done before interview. You should get your visa during the interview - everyone else has been lately unless they needed to redo medical because it passed 12 months.

The IRCC webform reply I received today said I have to contact Rabat to find the status of our application. So I emailed them today, as it says on their website they won't accept phone call inquires. I wonder if they will respond - I don't know why they just can't update the CIC website and ECAS like the other embassies do.

Sounds like our luck! I was expecting to wait 14 months, but then when everyone started to get interview calls on here, I got my hopes up. I just filled out the IRCC webform to request information on our application (it said if your are outside of the 12 month processing time, you can fill it out). I will order more GCMS notes and try to contact my MP again when I get back in Canada.

Hopefully you hear some good news soon, I know you have been waiting for a long time. Keep us posted.

Are you the sponsor or PA?

All I did was go on to Ecas and there is a option to change your address. Once you change it, it takes about 3-4-5 days to update on the system.

I am the sponsor. I went to ECAS, it says the following:

You may use this on-line service if:

• your case is being processed in Canada;
• your address is in Canada;
• you are moving within three weeks;
• you have not been requested to report your change of address in person to your local office.

It also says: If your case is being processed abroad, please contact the Canadian Visa Office nearest you.

My case is being processed at Rabat. Should I still use the service in ECAS?

I thought you were supposed to use the service in the ECAS for changes in address. You could also email Rabat if you are not sure. It definitely sounds a little confusing.

Hey guys, my wife after so many months finally got a email for an interview request today. They actually called back in April and the lady did some sort of telephone interview confirming details of the application. They asked her to bring 5 things;

A. Passport
B. Old passport
C. Identity card
D. All the proofs of our relationship
E. Annexe A form

We are kind of confused about the Annexe A form. Is this the Schedule A form or the Passport one. Has anyone any experience in this? There was no link or file attached to the email so we are not sure.

Have your husband done his medical?
I am a bit confused as the doctor told me to get back next day after I have done the tests and he gave me this form E.medical “feuille de route” which shows that I have done all the tests... I was not sure if I should send that to the embassy or just keep it.. The problem is when I log in to my account on CIC website it says they sent me the medical instructions, and to avoid delays I should provide them with the information requested in the letter as soon as possible.. Do you guys or anyone else have the same problem?
I want just to know if that’s normal before I contact the embassy

Sorry for the late reply. I was in Ireland until yesterday.

He had his interview on September 17th and tried to do the medical that day but was unable as he couldn't get an appointment with any doctors. He completed his medical on the 21st of September. He didn't get a paper that shows he did all the tests. We had to call the doctor to ensure there were no issues and that he sent the medical tests to the VO in Rabat. I think as long as the doctor was on their list of approved doctors and you had the tests done, you will be fine. Call the doctor to see what he/she says about this. Usually though, they send the results directly to the VO...there is nothing you need to do except for taking the tests.
