A lot at stake tonight...hope Naval will get the PPR request.

I got decision made on july 15th,
gcms mentions, Eligibility, Criminality, Medical PASSED AND FINAL APPROVED...DUE DATE 2014/09/10
Immigration Officer changed my NOC code and mentioned that his code was more appropriate what i do at my job .so basically he fixed it, Seems ho wrote a recommendation letter to the next officer my mentioning that the applicant is well above language benchmark.
the last time when my file was touched was 2014/07/11, on that page it mentions Copr issued at CPC OTTAWA AND AT location PRINTING, the status is open.

my assumption is that the immigration has done his job and its at the printing office . lets wait until 10th ........

Hi All

How are you guys? As usual, there is no update from me yet. I am still waiting for my "Passport request" and I had finished "Waiting" one year successfully after my application reached them in September last year. This beautiful (rather painful) "Waiting" started on 3rd September, 2013. The most interesting part is, even as of today I don't know how long this greatest task of "Waiting" goes on in my life

I was talking to one of my friend about the delay of PR and he gave me some interesting thought about the delay of PR applicants. He informed me that the applications for "Citizenship" are being processed at a speed of Rocket and people are getting their "Citizenships" in less than 8-10 months. So he suspects the majority of "Visa Officers" could have been assigned to look after "Citizenship" applications and to clear off all pending "Citizenships". This theory makes 100% sense to me with my current situation of waiting for passport request for almost 6 months.

What do you guys think? :-\

I buy this argument. Federal election is in approx 12 month. So newly turned voters would likely to vote for the Tories.

I have no idea. May be the 7th floor is but not the officers

This does actually make sense. Similar system was implemented back in the US in 2008, when Green card applications came to a stand still, because all officers were processing citizen papers.
The 7th floor is designated for CEc applications but that does stop citizen files from going there for processing.
Oh well I guess this only may extend our wait. Sucks!

I think we are making ourselves to believe a new theory now just to comfort ourselves. Till Sept we were comforting ourselves by believing that the whole CIC VOs have gone fishing or vacation or whatever. I don't buy this theory.

Me neither.

I think we should stop theorizing unless we have some concrete information backing the statements..
Previous theories were vacations...Student visas...etc. & now we have this...

Hope this turns out be a false speculation.
