- Regarding BOWP, I am eligible to apply in Mar2014 (current WP expires on 30thJune,2014). If I apply in March would I get the BOWP with validity till June,2015 or would it be for one year from date of issue i.e Mar 2015 (assuming I would get it in March).

BOWP will be issued for exactly 1 year from the day it is approved.

Thanks for the reply. Assuming PR process would take more than one year , I should be receiving my PR in Nov/Dec 2015. In that case, can I renew my BOWP that would expire in Mar2015?

In general, BOWP is given to the ones who already have an AOR. They give BOWP validity of 1 year. Since AOR itself takes almost 2 months to get, adding the 1 year validity of BOWP makes it 14 months duration in any case. The current processing times for PR is only 13 months. So PR must be processed before the expiry of BOWP unless there is an extreme scrutiny or queries on the application package.

Ok.I am a Sept,2013 applicant. I received my AOR on Nov5th so hopefully by next Oct/Nov I should get my PR. So it would still leave a gap between BOWP expiring in Mar/Apr2015 and expected PR receipt in Oct/Nov2015. Hence I am wondering is there a possibility of renewing BOWP. Thanks

If you are September, 2013 applicant, your PR will be done by November, 2014 at the most. Your BOWP will be valid until March, 2015 assuming you apply in March, 2014. So I am not getting the need of BOWP renewal here.

in others they don't.
Give it a few weeks, and if you don't hear back, email them again and ask. Also, you can very the receipt
of the documents when you order your first set of GCMS notes. All correspondence in- and outgoing is mentioned on the notes.
