I am a Sept 9th applicant. Before joining this forum, I had no idea when I would possibly receive the MR. In fact, I was hoping to get it sometimes in summer. Now that I am informed that I have to receive the MR soon, the pressure is mounting up. It is probably the down side of being informed :)

UK CEC applicant, Im in the same situation as you ...Im wishing I didnt know and got a surprise, the pressure is killing me and now that its come to my application date CIC seem to have slowed down and asking for more documents, just my luck!

I agree, guys. Knowing that the MRs are that close is killing me. Like I said in the August thread, I'm running in circles
likes lions in a zoo. Constantly checking ECAS and my email.

Hi Toby,

I have a question for you. I am August applicant. I received my PPR yesterday. My passport expires in Jan 2015. I am planning to send my current passport to CIC for visa stamping. I am planning to renew my passport in June or July. planning to land in Jan 2015. can i land with new passport and visa on old passport. Your input is much appreciated.

Thanks
Ravi

Yes, this should be no problem. As you usually get to keep your old, invalid passport. However, I would verify that with the CBSA and/or CIC hotline to confirm.

Thanks Toby. You are awesome and you have very good knowledge on entire process. I will check with them. I am in USA so will find out how to contact CIC from USA

If you can't get a hold of the CIC hotline, try calling CBSA. They should know as well.

Thanks Toby and Sasdp, Processing started 24 March 2014.

Basically the day you received the RPRF request. That's good to know. Congrats again!! Great
to see that CIC is still actively working away on the never ending pile of applications.

I really was hoping for MRs for September 10th, 11th applicants today, it's not looking too promising I guess. :-\ :-\

Thanks for Stats Toby. Please add me add on the Ecas Medical Received.
The stats show that there is 1 PPR and I can't see any on the spresdsheet?

Done. Updated the spreadsheet. Yes, the one PPR is in my case, because I wrote "VISA exempt"
in the PPR field.
