The document request email for my spouse from CIC:

Does it mean I have cleared eligibility assessment?

Well since they did not ask anything about your reference letter, it is a good sign. They just want you to re-fill the gap between 2005-2006.

Just an observation: MBACanada you are a Sept 9th applicant. That means more updates & MR coming for that week.

The fact that they wanted you to update means you met the other eligibility cirterion. I would say you are safe.

Hi All

I have got my "Singapore" police clearance request from CIC few minutes ago. My MR could be delayed due to this. But the good thing here is, they have started working on my application.

Cheers,
Kunishsa

Moaaar 9th Applicants needed!!!

For Singapore, kunisha had to wait till he got this request from CIC. Because i think Singapore does not issue PCC without request from Immigration.

Hi Folks
I am new to this forum and wanted an advice about BOWP.

My employer has filed my ICT and I might be coming to Canada for a short duration of 2-3 months.

By the time I have filed my PR (file received Sept-16,2013 and AOR received Nov-6,2013) and medicals expected soon.

Question- I need to search another job before this one ends. In this situation, can I apply for BOWP at the port of entry or later?

No change in my ECAS status yet. Application received is the status.

I am sure your current ICT will be valid for more than 4 months. So it is little tricky to get your BOWP. However, the positive thing is, we should be done with our PR in next 2-3 months at the most. So you should be all OK.

Yeah. This is the formal statement from CIC on my Singapore police clearance request.

The Singapore police are no longer routinely issuing Certificates of Clearance to non-citizens. In order to obtain a Certificate of Clearance you must submit to the Singapore Police Force (SPF) a copy of this letter, the attached appeal form attached to this e-mail (pdf document) and copies of your current and old passports or other documents confirming your stay in Singapore.

There is no time limit for this. The more I delay in submitting, the more I will have to wait for my MR. First I need to approach Singapore police for the clearance and it takes 15-20 business days. After that, I need to update CIC about my formal request to Singapore police. Then the CIC will directly be in touch with Singapore govt. I am sure all this process will delay my PR by atleast a month. I am fine with it as long as I am allowed PR :)

1- Are currently leaving in Canada ? If No, Then are Not eligible for BOWP
2- Is your currently Work Permit expiring within 4 months? If No, Then your Not eligible for BOWP

If the answers of both of above quesstions are Yes, then you are eligible for BOWP.
