Hi Toby could you pls update the spreadsheet with this update as well. Thanks
iam_toby said:No, as a US citizen you don't require a visa to enter Canada, so you do not have to submit the passport
to CIC. Usually, for citizens of visa exempt countries, they only ask for a scan of the passport at the end of the process.
Submitting the passport is only for people who need a visa to enter Canada, so CIC can stamp a one-entry visa in the passport.

PP323 said:Apply for Worker VISA same way you applied the BOWP.
You have both the option available 1. Online 2. Paper Submission
As per my experience Online is easy and faster way.
First complete the questionnaire and then it would ask you to fill one or forms, then Payment.
You also would need scanned copy of your BOWP, all pages of Passport and a Passport size photo. (as you just applied for BOWP so all these things should be already available to you)
Once the application is approved (it would take around 1-2 week), CIC will generate a letter (request for passport) and upload to your application.
You need to print this letter and send your passport along with this letter.
Make sure to keep a pre-paid envelope by writing your written address in your package so that they can send your passport back.
You would receive passport back in around 4-5 days.

This is what our case manager from Campbell and Cohen said:
"The Visa Office can take approximately 6-8 months to process supporting documents. Providing they are satisfied with your documents they will proceed to the next stage of the process. This may be a selection interview or more likely they will waive the interview and proceed with a request that you and your dependants undergo your medical examinations. Although the Visa Office reserves the right to call any applicant for interview, in practice the chance is very low (about 5%). It can vary how long it takes for medical results to be processed (from 1-5 months). Providing the Visa Office is satisfied with your medical results and supporting documents they should then proceed with a request for your passports to be submitted for the issuance of your visas."
Is this just a poor cut and paste job? It wouldn't surprise me since she hasn't done a great job so far. Do you have a link to give me the correct details? Thanks!

I was working with a MNC with a Canadian Client as a Application developer(2174). I had applied for PR when I was employed with MNC. After receiving AOR, applied for BOWP and then Canadian Client wanted me to join them directly. So I moved and joined the Canadian client with a 'System Analyst' role as a permanent employee. Then I sent the employment change info to CIC and they acknowledge it and added it to my application.
The question is does this new role which my Canadian client offered change my NOC code, And will this help in anyway to my application for PR?
Looking at the NOC code 2174, What is the meaning of the section 'Additional information'?
