Hello! My husband is also planning to apply under this category self-employed program as he is a Graphic and Web Designer himself. He has clients that are based locally and international 1 from NY and the other is in Guam. Would this be considered as world class standard? Also, we've registered our business here in our home country for about 3 yrs now. In terms of finances do we really have to have a huge amount of cash in the bank? I understand for a family of 3 we should have cad$18,000+ Do we really have to show them we have more than that or the amount mentioned is already enough? cash on hand is really not feasible at the moment because we have invested it via real estate instead. Hope someone can answer my queries and I am very much looking forward to it. Thanks in advance.

Your husband is qualified and yes the amount mentioned is enough but its always advisable to have a little more than that because of fluctuations in foreign exchange rate. Hope this helps

I have a change in circumstances and I have to add a family member.
The webform mentioned here doesn't say about adding a family member.

Can you please guide me that how should I go about filling the form if I have to add a new family member?
Hi! I got my AOR last week from the visa office where my application belongs to. It comes with an additional PDF file and states “When should I contact IRCC?” They include one of the circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child. They also attached the link of how I can notify them. Did you get such information?

Yes, I followed the steps. That leads me to the same web form:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp?_ga=2.75282450.1878494706.1538595370-2023758854.1534175056

Have you submitted an application for:
Yes

Is your application being processed by an office OUTSIDE Canada? No

In,
You may use this form if:
There is no guidance on if I want to update the information what should I do.

If someone has used,"Type of application/enquiry". Can you please guide me what step to take here.

Thanks

Interesting Email received.

I have received an email from Agency CRA.CA, with this message:

"You have received this email to be notified that Gateway-GOV-CA has issued a refund
and you'll receive a full refund of 450.88 directly on your credit/debit card."

Email doesn't mention why the amount has been refunded nor to which account.

Is this some kind of scam email or people have experienced this before, please share your experience.

Thanks

There is not much of information available online regarding this particular case online and on this forum either.
Therefore my goal is to share what I have experienced when applying from Pakistan.

Case Overview:
I have prior employment experience in Pakistan and then I started working as a self-employed person in UK, running a Limited company. It has been 3 years since I have been self-employed.

On the points table this is my situation.

Points break down:
  • experience - 3 years - pts 25
  • education
  • age - 10
  • language abilities - pts 10
  • adaptability -pts 5
Points acquired 50/100 ( * required 35)

Documents submitted:

Experience:
  1. Company registration details.
  2. Invoices of the big clients from the past 3 years.
Age:
  • NIC (Applicant and Spouse)
Language:
  • IELTS
Adaptability:
  • WES result for my Spouse
Supporting Documents:
  • 2 Medical Certificates.
  • All photocopies were attested.
  • Total 4 photographs 2 from applicant and 2 from a spouse.
  • Birth Certificate
  • Had a maintenance of equivalent to 3 people.
  • Marriage Certificate
  • 2 Police Certificate
So, this is the complete list of documents which I submitted based on imm5784e-Checklist and provided the evidence that I am more than capable of supporting myself as I have already established a good business in UK.

I submitted my application on 18/06/2018.

Please do check out this forum, as this helped me a lot with my application.

Dear Aizaz,

Can you share table template of your annual income and copy of contracts and also, your Invoices of the big clients from the past 3 years in supporting documents?

Because I am Graphic Designer, in same you and I am going to take a PR through self-employed.

I uploaded all my documents, but after two weeks, CIC sent me emails to correct my defects.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best regards,

Kereng Bandari

Yeah that seems to be a scam. CRA isn't involved at any point in the application process

You should email and/or mail to them an explanation letter with all support documents you can provide. In your case, I think you need to provide a birth certificate and a passport or travel document of your new family member, you need to provide proof of fund that covers the new family member if accompanying you to Canada, you may need to fill an additional dependent application, if needed.

Contracts, invoices?! Those are very private documents you are asking for! There are no specific CIC contracts and invoices templates for business transactions you handled for your clients. You either have them or you don't.

Where did you upload your documents that CIC emailed you after two weeks to correct? Did you not appy via paperbased and afterwards linked your account? If indeed CIC sent you emails they would have given specific instructions on what to provide. Annual income format is detailed at the bottom of the businness immigrant form. Just follow the instruction there.

Hey dude,
That will be classified information as I can't share the actual contracts and invoices.

You can create a template and share it with me and I can probably make some changes in it and send it back to you.

Cheers

Thanks, much appreciated.
I'll mail a copy of the birth certificate and passport as soon as they are made. I'll submit them through online web form as well. I did provide the maintenance of 3 people, so I think I am covered in that regards. Just need to make sure that CIC is aware of new family member.

Cheers for the detailed response. :)
