I just got a message with the interest from Ontario for PNP (Provincial Nominee Program).
I'm sitting at CRS 425.
Do you know how much time it takes to have the 600 points from Nomination?

Do you mean you received nomination or NOI (notification of interest)? Did you apply for OINP?

It is a Provincial / Territorial Interest Letter, so i think it's NOI.
I did not apply for OINP.
I submitted my Express Entry profile just today. I'll enter the pool tomorrow.
Do i have 6 months, starting today, to submit the application to the OINP? If so i can wait to see if the CRS goes down and to see if i get a direct ITA. Am i right?

NOI doesn't mean that you can apply for OINP. Are you a Masters/PhD student ? If you are then you won't be apply for OINP in 2017 as they have reached their intake limit. I know because I am in a similar situation and I asked an immigration expert.

You just received NOI today in your EE account today? If so, yes, you have 6 months from today to submit the application to OINP.

But are you a French speaker who scored at least CLB 7 on the TEF? Ontario stopped sending NOIs for the Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCP) on July 25, the day they stopped taking applications. Unfortunately I and many people here qualify only for the HCP stream and therefore have been anxiously waiting for it to reopen. So if you are receiving an NOI now, we want to know if you're under the the French Speaking stream or the regular HCP to get some clue on when the HCP stream might reopen ...

Officially it's a hold and the program probably is going to restart this year.

It would be good for me if the program resumes. Do you mean that if I have got a letter of interest, they would like to consider me as a nominee for this year's intake ?

Ah I think you might be in the Masters Graduates Stream. You can qualify for HCP if you have at least one year of skilled work experience, but I suspect you are not under HCP because Ontario stopped issuing NOIs for HCP stream candidates since July 25 ... unless they are resuming right now.

I logged in and checked, and the HCP stream is still closed to applications.

But to narrow down the possibilities, @Jeegaar are you a French speaker who scored at least CLB 7 on the TEF?

Yes. Also, if he just received NOI today, it hopefully means that Ontario is planning to resume taking applications soon ... although we need to know which stream he's under (so far the possibilities are Masters Graduates, French Speaking, or HCP)

Yeah. But I created my profile yesterday and didn't received it, so I doubt it's HCP (But there's hope!).

No I am not a French speaker. So in that case, the only option left with me is the Express entry. My current EE score is 418. Do you think I will be able to get an invite ?
