Hello all :)

on the document checklist, at the sponsor's documents, they say to "skip to nr. 21 if you're a Quebec resident" .. so no tax documents & proof of employment and so on?

or we submit them later ? has anyone any experience with this?

in hope of getting a response i also wish you happy Easter :D

Exactly, skip it.

I did not need to submit anything at a later date either.

Best of luck!

Its true. If you are applying for Quebec, there is no need for you to fill Option C.
But of course there's a reason. Once you send your package to Missisauga, they will send you a require to go to MICC (Ministere d'Immigration et Communautes Culturelles du Quebec) in order to obtain a CSQ (Certificat de Selection du Quebec). To obtain the CSQ your sponsor will be require to fill up a formulary and so do you. In this formulary sponsor will have to provide SIN and allowe REVENU QUEBEC to check him up.
Thats enough for Quebec to know if the sponsor receives welfare or has debts with the gouvernement of Quebec. Once sponsor is clean from this (maximun 2 months for this) you will receive CSQ (2 copies), one of them has to be send to CIC. The other one keep it safe cuz its needed to obtain health insurance.
Hope this helps!

Good luck, God bless

Yep, exactly as MaxLet said. There is one extra step in the application process for residents of Québec, that of requesting the CSQ from MICC. Québec checks out the sponsor at that time. While the CSQ request *does* add an extra $269 to the process, it does *not* seem to slow your app down at all in relation to apps for the ROC (rest of Canada).

MICC will send a copy of the CSQ to CIC for you. They will send you copies of the CSQ as well as the "undertaking" form you had to fill out to request the CSQ. KEEP THAT SIGNED UNDERTAKING FORM, as you will need it when you land. And definitely keep your CSQ safe, too, as you'll be asked for it for some other things in Québec (health card, and I think I needed it for my French classes?).

i also have another question :)

in the form IMM 1344 (Application to sponsor, sponsorship agreement and undertaking) - in the section "sponsor eligibility assessment" they say that sponsors who reside in Quebec "need not to complete questions 8, 9, 10 or 15". that means my husband leaves them blank? he already answered them and he can't uncheck them.. i`m wondering if this is a problem. should he start a new one and leave those unchecked?

thanks again for your time :-*

I also did that but then start a new one without answering those questions. You can't uncheck them so do a new one.

I was going to ask the same question. I also answered all the question even though I am a Quebec resident. In the form it says "Sponsors who reside in Quebec need not to complete" , CIC has not used a word more stonger like "must not to" or "should not to", so does that mean that if a Quebec resident answered these questions it won't hurt the application??

If you are in Quebec, you shouldn't have checked them.
"sponsors who reside in quebec need not complete questions 8,9,10 or 15"
Read well the questions before checking anything, mistakes in the formulary can cause a delay in your process...you dont wanna give them any reason (for minimal that it seems) to return your application!
So, start a new one, download the guide and go question by question no rush.

Good luck, God bless

I'm with MaxLet. You will spend many months, perhaps a year, stressing and worrying and wondering if you did something wrong, if you sent enough, if you missed anything. If it were me, I would go back and start the form over again, making sure not to complete the parts that don't apply to Québec applicants. It's a small amount of effort to avoid any possible confusion/problems with that part of your app at CIC. It *probably* would be fine anyhow, but when the difference between *probably* and definitely is another 10 minutes or half an hour in the beginning, I think it's wise to go with definitely.

Sorry, just some clarification.
So we are applying Outland/US. My husband has not filed taxes for 2013 yet and plans to do it in the next couple days. SO we could not ask for Option C for 2013 yet since they don't have his tax information for 2013.
But now am I reading that residents of Quebec (which my husband is) do not even need to include Option C to send to CIC???

I was SOOOOO worried, because my darling husband hadn't filed taxes for 2010 or 2011 when we filed in 2012. (I now take care of all of that stuff, because he's administratively retarded and allergic to paperwork.) He told me, "What's the big deal? They owe ME money every year." Uhm, darling, that's not the point. I think I finally got all of his crap together (looooooooong boring story...it was a huge pain, with a home in ON he rented out when he moved to Oklahoma, and it was hard to sell, and etc., and etc.) and filed his taxes in June or so of 2013. Definitely after we got the CSQ from MICC. His 2013 taxes were filed as soon as I got my hot little hands on that T-4.

It was all just fine. :D But I did enough worrying for the both of us (good thing, he was immune to worry) throughout the process.
