Imagine if all your issues with documents and proofs could be solved with just a document that would say something like "yeah, they are actually a couple". Well, there is such a document, and it's called "marriage certificate"
We've been there with my wife (check my responses earlier in this thread) and initially applied under conjugal class. After ADRs, PFL, refusal and hell of a stress, we just found a country to get married in, and applied again last week.
It feels so much better now - we literally don't have to proof things that can be replaced with one governmental paper. And the fact that I'm sponsoring my wife tells IRCC much more than "I'm sponsoring my partner / fiance / love of my life".
