I totally agree with mft25, if u can not speak french how can they let u live in the province. Even though i know some applicants who got CSQ without french language because there points total was OK..Just an advice atleast prepare for A1.So if u got the interview without french u can show them u are meeting the point threshold but u r still interested in French! Hope it helps...

Hi All users.

I submit my application for CSQ december 2011 from Montreal, and I just recieved the file number, but still wait for the final decision.
I am PhD in chemistry (french diploma) and during my stay in Montreal (oct to dec 2011) employment possibilities arises, with two phone interview, but it seems that there is a need for 'Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident Status'.
Can any one tell me what is the mean time for waiting for CSQ?
Is there a possibility to aplly right now for Federal just mentionning the on-processing application for Quebec (time gaining)?

What is your french level and AOT? Try to concentrate on your AOT and your experience , because the VO would like to ask you some questions about your work experience and you should tell as appropriate as you have mentioned in your CV at the time of your application.

If you married then you should know the characteristics of your spouse and her hobbies. because VO sometimes ask about these types of questions to you or your spouse individually and verify that you are a genuine couple.

I think these thinks should be more helpful for others who are ready for the interview in upcoming days / weeks / months .

And I have done TCFQ and have got Listening:A1 & Speaking:A2 , which is basic level and give me total 4 points and I have total 61 points without Adaptability and my spouse's french point. So pray for me that I can get the CSQ. though I've applied this feb'12, i assume that my interview will be within next May/july'13.

But do I need to increase my french point again, that means should I retake the TCFQ exam? I would like to get suggestions from others.

@bilal: the person i knew was a single applicant and he got the minimum points required to appear in interview without french and in the adaptibility section he got all the points and thus got CSQ without claiming french.lang points.but that does not mean tht u dont learn french or the VO dont ask u.

@debR i have done DELF A2 and sent my originals to biq hk and they gave me points according to that. my AOT is business management and finance, ihave 4 years experience working as a manager finance and 3 years as a Assistant Manager administration. thanks god im single so not worried abt cross questioning. what really disturbing me is the points im gonna get because single applicant needs 6 points to get CSQ in adaptibility section. you are doing gret with ur French nd u r intermediate user so no worries for u. i hope every one gets CSQ and BIQ HK should offer us CSQ for our efforts we r putting in. May Gid helps us tosail from this......AMEEN

Did you send Attestation or original Diploma?
When did you send that and how do they inform you about your point break up?
I have only Attestation of A2 not original Diploma, should i still send them or i have to wait for original diploma?

Yes website is showing Oct 2010, I'm of Sept 2010 but do not receive any letter nor any update from BIQ as yet. I think I should call them.
