VickyRock, i recomend you to start learning French otherwise it will be hard for your to be selected.
Start a course at Alliance Francaise immediately and collect the documents while you are learning.
I think you will be ready to speak at least as a biginner in length of time about 3-4 months till the interview.

Till than wish you good luck ;)

from your experience it seems that you qualify for FSW (38 occupations list), then y dont u apply for that? there wouldnt be any strict requirement of french for FSW.

Hey Vicky..

As advised by Angel & Lijran..

The Federal FSW program would be even better for ur case.
Your occupation is in the 38 list & could easily proceed with the FSW program..unless u r deep in love with Québec! ;)

Well..who doesn't?!! :D

Hey Lirjan..

It really depends on the visa office workload.
Mine was charged about a month after being received there.

AOA!

Before i start firing my questions, i would like to thank lirjan, angeleye and of course iceberg7...Guys thanks a lot for ur valauble input.. :)

Definitely i would consider ur opinions before submitting my application. The thing which i want to be get sure is how u guys determine that i fall 38 under the occupation list, do share with me the link or source. i want to confirm and lock in to some other occupations which can be of help...

Secondly, that MBA from Pakistan that is 16 years of education can you tell me which level is MBA degree is equivalent to Quebec degree/Diploma...

Thirdly, How to qualify for Self Assesment test mentioned on Quebec officail website because every time i take test i dont qualify and you people are saying that i can qualify easily with these credentials..

Confused but still hopeful!

waiting for ur reply

Vicky

Hello Vicky.,

We get favourable response because we put french as basic or intermediate... With no french ..it will be difficult for you to get CSQ or subsequently live in quebec..

I guess u hav all the requirements but french..once u attain a basic level of french.. you will be good to go...

As far as federal is concerned!!..well on google search 'canada NOC 38 list' and you will see that Financial and Accounts manager can apply..

Good Luck!

Regards,
Shahi

@ vicky

shahi is right, search the list of 38 occupations for FSW, and you will find your occupation there, for FSW french is not mandatory.
for QSW, there can be 2 reasons for Ineligibility, one may be french (in my case it wasnt true, i put 0 knowledge of french and it qualified me), and other is your education, which might not be helping you with preferred trainings list of quebec.

therefore i advised you to go for FSW. for degree equivalency, im not sure.

regards

Hey Vicky..

Well..what else can I add to what Shahi & Angel said?!! huh!

The guys have really said it all! nothing is left for the poor me to say!

Well..instead of seaching for 38 list..here the link.. (I got to offer better service level to beat Shahi & Angel :D )
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp

Here's the National Occupational Classification site..where u can have more detailed description about the enlisted professions.
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/html/NOCBulletin.html

As for QSW eligibility, the french is not mandatory at the time of applying..HOWEVER..it IS MANDATORY to get the CSQ.
By means, may be you are not so proficient in french at the time u apply..but u got the chance based upon your education & work experience level. So you can apply.
HOWEVER, you have to show your interest in learning & speaking french..& you may be interviewed to justify this point among others.

In my opinion, this is a fair condition. Québec aim to preserve its cultural heritage..in the form of its language..the French.
So, if you want to live in a French speaking province, enjoying its system & life style, isn't it fair to learn its language?! :)

That's the point. ;)

Best of luck buddy!

Oh..as of your MBA degree in comparison with those in Québec, I am sorry I am not familiar with Pakistani MBAs to answer this part ;)

Hi every one!
thanks a lot for ur reply and i appreciate every one's feedback..
shahi thaks alot for helping me out with the NOC list i can see it now. Do you think that category code of NOC is same for both Canada or Quebec, is it different and how?

Guys today i took the Quebec online Assessment and guess what i qualify with 0 knowledge of french...
Angeleye dont you think it is easy to apply under Quebec because it is less time consuming and requirements are not that hard as compare to Canada skille worker category...

Iceberg7 you are telling me that french is not mandatory at the time of apply..How is it possible when you are filling ur application for selection certificate in there you have to mention ur language ability in french..what should i do while filling form???

AS you know im from Pakistan tell me good institutions that teaches french even at basic level.. Like IELTS do i have to take test after completing my coaching glasses in french to get my french langugae tested??...

Hey lirjan i think you got a chance i liove CoFFee!!! :p
