b1 for TCFQ is nothing, if you take tcf or tef youll get a2 maybe the educational, also
try from b1 to b2 tcfq so hard
I took tefaq and had a score of B1, but by corresponding points very close to B2. Now I went to Alliance Francais to improve the level just for myself, I don't need anymore tests :) I felt that B2 course is very hard for me and I can't handle it right now, but B1 is fine. I think that's because they prepare for DELF mainly which is more difficult. Roughly B1 in tefaq is lile A2 in DELF and B2 is like B1 respectively.

yes I know that's what I mean, also B2 is nothing but it will be good start, to land with B2. I advice you go take French conversation course and not alliance francaise, find small collage smart, they give you listening too, that's more important and some daily use grammar , like "j'en fait, je n'en ai, il n'y ai, j'y joue" etc... and many things .

Hey guys, can any of you confirm to me that it is the IELTS general test that is required. Or is it the academic one?

Thanks Darshmodi and Signalmaker.

Is general the more hassle free of the two?

Who else feels betrayed?

Federal made retroactive changes, however, they returned the apps with the fees.
Quebec is keeping our money and apps, and generously letting us improve our French.

Do you think they will let us update other aspects of applications as well, for example English, stay in Quebec etc.?

18 months is not a plenty of time, the certificate takes 4 months to come from france, also you need to rejister with the exam times you have in your country or nearest country, and you will have to study to improve from A2 to B2 the 18 months is a small period of time !
For applicants who presented A2 results it might not be enough, you're right. I took TEFaQ last year, I signed up a month before and paid 300EUR (for me and my wife). The results came after two weeks.

That's seems insane, 14 years ;D I managed B1 in 3 months. But I feel that there's a big gap between B1 and B2.
I made B1 on TEFaQ for 3 months,as you say its a huge gap B1 to B2,but with some effort and MICC has soften a bit,I think anyone who managed B1,can manage B2 for 18 months.

Just my opionion.

You exaggerated a bit. I'm sure that it's possible to get B2 done in 6 months with regular learning. The gap is significant because when you become more proficient it will be more and more difficult to improve.

100% true. I scored B1 last year and still I do not feel like B2 right now, even though I've been in Montréal for over a month already.

Okay I think you missunderstood,I think that 18 months(time given by MICC) is enough to improve someone that was B1 to B2.
Have a nice one!

Look at this document, page 7:

Since you have 41 points without french, you will be given 18 months, to reach at least 49 points, by improving french knowledge. So you will not be refused, but given some time.

thnx alot dear oszi
very thank you for your comment but let us see the exact new problem

my points in old rules was 55 became 41 in new rules !!
if they give me 18 months to reach B2B2 and i success in that

the AOT points 6 points for chemist
what about AOT at this time i will be more than 5 years graduated
i am chemist graduated may 2009
and not worked in my specialist from 1/2010

as my experience in other field far from my specialist !!
will i take the AOT points as the date of send my file or the date of studying it ??!
i send my file after 4 years of graduate
and the preliminary examination will be after 5 years of graduate so what will occour
Huh :S:S

the AOT points gived according to which date ???
- date of recevied file ??
- date of file number given ??
- or date of preliminary examination ??

this is a new big problem for me coz if they make preliminary examination of my file after a year when i send my update with B2B2
at this time i will be graduated from over 5 years and not worked
Chemist " my specialist "

i need advices to know what to do
thnx for all people here :'( :'(

Hi All,

I am an Indian staff nurse who decided to migrate to Canada. The preliminary evaluation done on the Quebec website and the self-evaluation done by myself for Quebec Skilled worker immigration is positive and therefore I have finalized my decision for applying for this visa. (However not yet applied)

The points are as follows:
AGE: 29yrs 16 points
EDUCATION : Bsc (N), MBA distance 10 points
WORK EXPERIENCE: 28 months 6 points
AREAS OF TRAINING: Nursing 16 points
LANGUAGE:
GT IELTS (L-6.5,R-6,W-6.5,S-7; Overall 6.5) 5 points
french - Nil
FUND REQUIREMENT 1 point
------------------
TOTAL 54 points

I just want to decide whether i can file the documents myself or should I depend any consultancy for immigration purposes as i feel that they charge 70K to 1 lakhs just for filing and tracking the filed status. I have gone through the doucments required for CSQ filing and I am familiar about almost 95% of the Documents to be submitted and I feel I can apply myself. Meanwhile, I am worried whether my application might get blocked in the midst of other applications and delayed.

so, should I proceed with any consultancy or file the application myself?

Kindly give me a good solution.
