I applied for Visa in June. Went for Medical on 1st June. They did my TB related blood test (Gamme Inteferon). It came out positive. They asked for Gene Xpert, Sputum Culture and Smear test for three consecutive days to confirm it. Also, they asked for a second X-ray on or after 1st September. I went for giving sputum samples on 24th,25th and 26th June. The Gene Xpert report came out negative on 1st July. I was informed over phone that Sputum Culture and Smear reports were all negative on 30th August, and that I should come to the hospital for Xray on 2nd September since 1st is sunday. I went and the Xray was also normal. I was referred to the Pulmonary specialist doctor in the hospital. He was not aware of how to handle the case because the Gamma Interferon report was positive and all the reports were negative.
I explained my whole situation to him. The expert doctor called my general physician and they discussed about my case. Eventually I requested him to do the process a bit quickly. He told me that he would make a report stating that there is no indication of Active Tb, on the next day.
So I am hoping that things would work out for me in some days.

Guys.. For extra-pulmonary tb, any idea what to expect in medical tests? I have completed 9 months of course and have note from doctor saying that i have completed and cured. Dr did not ask for any other test after 9 months.
So will just the note from doctor be enough? Do i need to get any thing else done like MRI?
Also what tests can medical panel ask me to undergo?
just do a xray pa view and compare it with old one which have done by your doctor after competing the medical cure . you have done.

Never do blood test and skin test , these tests are not accurate . Always prefer AFB stain & culture plus MTB Gen Xpert . Don't worry you will get cleared .

I didn't know I was referred for blood test otherwise I would have asked my Physician about it.
I did my Xray on 2nd September. Everything went fine. The X ray was fine and culture was negative. The Specialist wrote a report in my favor and it was uploaded only on 9th of September. It has not been updated on my visa application yet. How much time do you think it will take?
I have to start my classes before 1st October. It is already 14th today!
I am worried sick and don't know why it is taking so long. Everything is freaking normal.

My whole year will be wasted is the embassy doesn't check my reports in time and issue me a visa.
Guys if you know how much time it will take for the embassy now, please let me know...
