Processing in Buenos Aires?

hmm.. not really, not for now at least.. I rather not add more stuff to the VO bureaucracy and end up like a kafka book.
We're planning on going back to Argentina when my visa extension expires and give the whole process the 10 months it says on the web.
I haven't been checking, but did you find info in the forums about requesting the CAIPS?

yes some people give the website and everything but once I went on that website it sounded really complicated! I was wondering if the delay would be now the one on the website (10 months) or the one they wrote in the AOR (12 months..) since we received the letter when it was like that.. oh.. please give us before december!

I just checked ecas again.. in case.. loll but nothing! I get ill just be depressed until you get news cause anyway you are 1 month ahead of us!

Excellent idea.. I came her in september and had more than a month of 20 something during the day..
following that I had my lettuce freeze on my way back from the supermarket while it was -25.. but oh well.. canada is great

Have you tried writing to the embassy? AT the most you will get the answer in queue for processing however it will not hurt to try.

You do not need to check the CIC website everytime. Try to sign up for the ecase tracker. Almost everyone in this forum uses it. It is fantastic. They way it works is... anytime they update something on the CIC website it will immediately send you an email stating the update. In that way, you avoid checking constantly and going nuts.

About to write.. did you ever write to them before to get news? I wouldnt know what to write in that email.. thinking that they would probably write back "to calm down and wait for those f...g 10 months to be over" ? loll

Just state your name and Id number and express what you want to say i.e update on your application, if they recieved it and so on.....they might answer and they may not answer....who knows. You are only a couple of months into the process. I know this part of the waiting game is aterrador!!!!! Hang in there and sign up for the ecase tracker ;D

I stopped getting notifications from the forum and I just forgot to login.
No news here. I just checked and it still says 'application received'.
The good thing is that I got my tourist visa extension until Nov 29th, and I have a client ID now (not sure what's so good about that ).
I know some of you said that you got letters in the mails, I used my dad's address in BA and he didn't get anything.

Did you guys try to get a tourist visa for your spouses or you rather not risk it?

Hola! we are applying as "inland" and we requested for the 2nd time the visitors extension. The first time it took a week to get the extension, now we have been waiting for 3 weeks and no news.. but no news is good news!!!!

no news is always good news. did you check the application times on the cic website? they have gone up a lot since last year.

last year it took 2 months for me to get my extension approved... right now it looks like I'mg oing to wait 6 months.. but it's all good with me as it means implied status!

Hi people! Its been a while! lol

Still no news over here.. Its frustrating seeing other VOs already giving visa to people waiting less than us.. or at least a little PPR! Its annoying to see that NOBODY is getting news.. makes me think that it will take like 8 months before to have news like it took for you vt.

And soon the vacations will start in Argentina.. (ok in few months but still!) aargh..
