  1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 4, 2018.
  2. We started processing your application on February 4, 2019.
  3. We sent you medical instructions on January 17, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  4. Medical results have been received.
This is the only thing i see online. We got the PRE ARRIVAL services letter feb 20. They said PPR is next but the waiting game is killing me.

Also i am worried on the upadates, i still dont know the result of the medical because they haven't updated. My child is a minor 14 years old. is it okay even if they dont upate or dont say anything on the online tool? I am very worried because registration for this coming school year is around the corner and i really need to enroll my son but they will be looking ay the PR card.

Any inputs would be so much appreciated!

Hi! Heres my time time line
You can register your son to go to school without him being a PR. My son is going to school in Canada and I didn’t had any problem registering him.

Sorry if this has already been asked and I missed it, but what is the difference here between a pre-arrival email and PPR?

We received an email asking that within 30 days, we send along my husband's passport, 2 photos and let them know of any changes that may have happened.

But to enroll them one of the requirements is pr card or citizenship. You cant enroll them if theyre not pr or canadian citizen.

The child doesn't need to be PR or citizen. One of the parents has to be.
I did register my son to school last August before my spouse landing. At that time we already had a Canadian address, so we could identify school district and school itself. I (the sponsor) just showed my Canadian passport and filled out the school forms. Also I showed child's medical records and school secretary told me that if something is missing they will catch up in September. So, the child was registered to school way before my spouse landing.

The pre-arrival email is just a message offering "pre-arrival services" to the PA (i.e. courses and other information on how to find a job or language classes in Canada and integrate, etc). It's not really an essential step in the process (apart from some places like the Philippines, I believe, where it's mandatory to attend a session). PPR is the actual request for the passport, which it sounds like you've received already (congrats!!!).

  6. Pre arrival services was sent on email FEB 20
Its almost a month now after receiving pre arrival but still nothing. How long does it take for ppr? Also once PPR is requested how long usually does it take for them to stamped it and send it back? My son is a minor dependent child.

Thanks
