Hello,
I received a letter recently which mentioned that my claim will be processing under instructions Governing the Streaming of Less Complex Claims at the Refugee Protection Division,
Dear Ali where are you from??

and they request any document I wish to use to support my claim.

Does anybody have any idea about how long it will take to receive the decision?

Sorry missed that. You'll have to clarify. Do you mean you want to change your family composition information on your asylum application or did your whole family apply for asylum?

I THINK you will also get notice of hearing shortly. yes in my case they sent good in advance. i havent received the letter yet but my lawyer informed me of date and time and when i called IRB they confirmed the same. they told me you will get notice of hearing within 1 month from when my lawyer told me. So it means they give plenty of time.

I am from Pakistan.

I also applied in Nov 2017 but haven’t received a hearing date yet. Where are you from and where did you apply? Good luck to you and hopefully you receive a positive decision!

Also.. do they usually send the Notice to Appear 3 months in advance?

I mean early 2018 cases are processing much slower than late 2018. That is why I call them legacy relatively to late 2018 cases.

Your are true as i know some who got hearing date and applied in January 2019 there hearing is June 2019.

I made my refugee claim in March 2018 and received expedited processing letter in November 2018. Today I’ve received notice of my decision. After almost one year my claim got accepted.

Just open an account in cic and start a new application. Then answer the questions and system will tell you that you need wirkpermit and will give you list of form and documentation to be uploaded. It is easy and straightforward.

This hearing could be rescheduled.

My whole family applied for asylum but one of us is a US citizen and it’s complicating our case. Is there any way we can withdraw her from the case? (She’s still a minor)
