Hi everyone I sponsor my parent from Pakistan July 2011 I just one letter can any one one help how long they gonna take more time

I am hoping to receive medical request soon as i got letter from delhi dated Mar 10 and in their letter they said they will be sending email for medical request and it should be send back to them within 60 days. Also, while I am waiting for finalization of my parents sponsorship visa, I am thinking of bringing them here on supervisa, but I think medical insurance cost is expensive, does anybody know how much would be insurance cost and can I buy for only three months if they stay here for three months only. Or should i not try supervisa and just wait for sponsorship visa.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share some bad experience which I had for my parents immigration and I want some advise.
I applied for Parent immigration and it took 6 years for them to get COPR (Confirmation of Permeant Residency) in 2013, expiry date for COPR was January 2014 so they have to travel with in this date.
In November 2013 my father had an accident bec. of this he was on bad and not even walk....during his bad time he was also caught with some other illness. due to his they are not able to travel to canada and COPR expiry date passed.... in November 2014 my father passed away...
My mother could not travel alone because my father was a principle applicant.
Now I am thinking if there is any way I can ask Immigration canada to re issue my mother New COPR so she can come to canada with PR.
Any one with any advise or guide line that I can follow ...

If u can afford, also get advice of a lawyer.
And do what the other user has suggested about writing to CIC.

If they don't do anything after u write, lawyer up.
Probably your mom will need to do re-medical as well.

2nd medical 27 December 2014.

Does anyone have any idea what would be the next step?

Is it possilbe so they ask for the passports?
after 2nd medical shouldn't it be fast to complete the applicaiton?

please share your opinion,

Send an inquiry to Visa office indicating 2nd medical completed date, and ask when to expect finalization/visas.

Have you tried contacting your MP to help find current status and expected completion? Do this also.

Thirdly, please order GCMS (electronic case notes) for file

Same situation as urs, cic returend entire package due to a missing doc, on Dec, 12, 2014 I submitted everying back by dec 20 and after that no news at all.....is our case our of the queue now that it was returned and behind all the cases sumbitted so far?? Becoz they said it will be processed in the order they will recieve additional info from each applicant....if so...thats one sad news!!!

Did you notice a date/stamp on the copy of the letter which you send in the package when you sent it first time to CPC-M?
If you kept a copy of that returned package you could've checked.....

We also had our package returned, as CIC thought one of the signature of dependent child was not original but photocopy. My brother had used a black thin pen and it was original but so light that it looked like a copy.....so we used blue pen and sent it all back.

CPC-M was nice enough to use our original package received date so we did not lose much on time. When they sent us the package back, they had stamped the "letter" showing date they received the package......not sure if more people have had this happen, or perhaps the officer was kind enough seeing I had taken great effort to organize and arrange the application.

James, i dont think so that this is CIC issue, if you meant CIC contact here in Canada, his mother or he has to contact the Canadian embassy/Local visa office as they issued the COPR.

You are right starzibal. It is the local visa office/Canadian Embassy who can help.

Since medical examination is on the it is better to wait for medical exam in India which appropriate in your case because(1) SUPERVISA process is costly & Insurance has to be taken for one year(2) Once your applicants lands in Canada CIC may ask for 2 and medical as done in one of case of a mother of forum member(3) Landing problem is solved because your sponsored person( s) will automatical will get Landing certificate at Airport itself otherwise for Landing in Canada one has to cross USA border & return for Landing purpose (3) CPC Missauga is also taking 3-4 months from medical examination to PR visa similarly our one form' s parents got PR visa exactly within 3 months in Delhi. It will be better if you visit page"2010 parebts sponsorship applicants join her" & click soreadsheet prepared by Mr Jeleni every thing will be clear. However these are only views rest decision is yours. Wish for quick Medical & PR visa and safe Landing of your sponsored family members. Rgds

My sister sponsored my parents with 3 dependents under 22 at the time application filed in Jun/2008, Lvo singapore received in Nov/2013. We r still waiting for med request and parents in vietnam

Finally we got the medical request after almost 6 years of wait for parent sponsorship , they also requested to update forms (background and family) but my question if anybody has experience which way is faster to send them by courier or by email? because they mentioned in the email that you may scan the documents and send them by email, anybody has any experience with that?
