When did you order GCMS? Van80 also got PPR within 5 months of having passed medicals. I hope the timeline would remain same by the time our turn comes for PPR i.e. PPR within 5 months of passing medicals. I plan to order GCMS mid-January, if I do not get PPR by then.

Congratulations to all who got Visas and passport requests.

I am loving this speed now.Looks like they will reach their target for 2012 .
I hope ,being a LVO case ,that after Ottawa they will concentrate on LVO's and start sending meds and PPR from there.Amen.

ordered about a month ago...
the problem is that it was the second medicals in July... first was in March so mediacals expire in the beginning of March 2013...

Inidan law prohibits sending and receiving of Indian passport commercially. So, your parents will have to fly back to India for visa stamping when PPR comes.

I informed that my parents are here in Canada as a visitor for 6 months. My email subject was "Update on Applicant's travel". I did not mention anything about PPR or inquired about the application status.

If you read my post, they said that if we tell them about travel then they won't ask for PPR and delay it as they are traveling. I am not sure, but you think you might have inadvertently delayed your case

If the applicant or dependents are currently outside of India, or have upcoming or frequent travel outside of India, they are not required to submit passports at this time

Shuga, how many GCMS notes after you ordered, would it be an issue if we order it every 40 days? will it delay or annoy them

That reminded me to apply for my GCMS notes today!

Don't worry, I bet within the next month or so, your post would read that you were asked to submit the ppts! Hang on a little bit longer...

i think that ordering electonic notes does not impact the timeline... however i can not be absolutely sure...

Yeah I missed that part. I think you have made an unintentional mistake by informing them. If you had not informed New Delhi embassy, you'd get PPR as usual business, and when PPR was received you parents could fly back for stamping. If I were you, I'd email them back informing that your parents will fly back to India when PPR is issued by their office.

Actually, my point was more from your perspective. You have told them that your folks are traveling so even if they were to request PP, they might delay it as they knopw they are in Canada for 6 months

But after your post, I begin to wonder about my case as well, by my query to them was more in form of a question. I said we plan to extend stay and if it's possible to have PPR from Seattle, but if not possible then we don't want to delay and thus their response so I am pretty sure they were just replying to my query

I feel I should write or fax back thanking them and asking to send PPR whenever the time comes, and as far as I know - the language in the letter says "when it will reach final stage, we request PPR" so I assume it's their generic letter
