I'm 35 and single. I have a BA in English Language and Literature, a diploma in event management with marketing and PR and two professional certifications - Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Certified Meeting Manager (CMM). Both from US professional associations. I have over 10 years experience in meeting management, operations management, business strategy and consulting. I am also a freelance writer and personal finance blogger on the side. I also have a high ielts score although all my education has been in English. I have worked at various locations in Africa, the Middle East and Asia over the last 8 years so lots of international work experience as well.

1) In the case of Manitoba, if you do not have a family member or close relative to sponsor your application, you can go the route of the Manitoba strategic initiative, where you can apply for any exploratory visit(EV), if you are invited to go for an EV and are able to prove sufficiently that you have an intention to economically establish yourself within the province, then they will give you a letter of approval to apply to the MPNP without having to need a sponsor, in essence the province will become your sponsor, you can get more details here(http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/how-to-immigrate/apply/exploratory-visits/), so try to check other threads that specialise on the MPNP.
2) Quebec has also go a descent scheme that may be interested in your skills, but I'd say you should first take the online assessment here(http://www.form.services.micc.gouv.qc.ca/epi/index.jsp?languageCode=en) to evaluate your chances, if you get a positive outcome then you can look at other threads that focus on the Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW) scheme.
So don't give up, stay positive even though you;ve got a long road ahead of you, in the end you will make it if you work hard at it.
