Today there should be some movement from CIC. They update case status on Tuesdays and we have seen that happen in the past along with some emails of case transfered to VO.

Yes, agree on the second point. I made the same mistake; should not have waited for PCCs and FBI. This caused a big delay.

People - The couple of ppr that I have seen from Buffalo in the last few days, in trackitt, are cases which had been pending for a very long time - applications sent in 2009. These probably got delayed because of change in family composition etc.

If Buffalo is still in the process of clearing old backlogs, I do not know if and when they will get to ours.
Right on Chigirl, i waited three months for PCCs and FBI.

Me too, i waited around 2 months.

CIC encourages and insists on applicants submitting all the required details including FBI/PCC etc. Probably this is the price some of us are paying by following their guidelines.

Almost 4 months in my case - because my fingerprints kept getting rejected.

If you happen to remember priya - she was really smart. Sent her pccs later, and got her ppr within a month of medicals.

Hi,

I too waited for the FBI & PCC and wasted 4 months before I sent the application. I had older FBI & PCC that I had applied after I had received the AINP File Number. Those were pretty old, but I should have applied using them and then sent the new FBI & PCC.

Hopefully it should not take a any longer than what it already has taken.

Thanks,
L.B

I'm wondering where we Buffalo folks are headed. Some of us have already reached the 11 month mark, or almost getting there.

They are busy Chigirl, with just to name a few.

Water cooler talks
long coffee breaks
very long lunch breaks
taking for ever to understand how the damn "Siebel eGovernment Applications for Case Management System" works...etc etc

Oh! the travails of a government job. only those poor souls know, itss heavy lifting work, not easy for the weakhearts who work in the commercial companies.

The hard working government workers in a foreign land have problems. Diplomatic immunity, immunity for failing at work etc puts pressure these these innocous gentle angels.

I think buffalo considers the date when they start looking at the application. For e.g. most of us applied in Feb but CIC started processing in June so their clock starts ticking from there.

Eitherways folks who got transferred to other consulate got it sooner than us which makes all the buffalo folks more nervous.

lol......

@Mods...I believe its from the date you submit your application. If they started your processing your application in June, you did your medicals in June/July, and they issued your PR 11 months after, it would practically give you a month or two to land.

if you check the e-case they mention we started looking at your application from June 8th. Even though I recieved AOR and medical on June 12.

Thoughts ?

Chigirl,

You moved to india after submitting your application to the CIC. Did you have any advance knowledge that you will be moving to india?

If yes, i want to learn why you chose to submit ur file to buffalo VO which was taking 11 months to process even in 2010, besides the the challenges of sending the passport overseas.

On the other hand, according to the processing times tracked on the CIC website, its taking on 6 months for New Delhi to process the cases....

Did you attorney advice you to take buffalo route instead of New Delhi?

ok, so we if I go by your logic, if its 11 months since the day they started processing your application, they you should receive your ppr tiin May. In which case, you'll lose a month in getting your pp stamped, which leaves you practically no time to land.

I think its 11 months since you submit your application. So, by mid Jan, you've reached your 11 months.

Yes, I did know, and I spoke to my attorney, and they advised that the file had to be sent to Buffalo.
