Has anyone else noticed that those that received Initial Assesment are the ones with applications stuck in Buffalo?

And (eventhough I am hoping it is not so) it seems a background check may impact those Initial Assessment / Buffalo applications.

So, has anyone else noticed the trend depicted below?

Initial Assessment = Application Stuck @ Buffalo = Background Check

Yes, I have noticed that too from other threads, those with initial assessment letter are still waiting for PPR regardless which province nominated them.

I think that may be the case, are people of certain nationality are subject to background check ?

Are people who have their application in Buffalo are all from India ?

Regards

by "initial assessment" do you mean AINP preassessed candidates? If yes, this assumption may be incorrect. i am not a preassessed candidate yet my file is with Buffallo.

i meant those who received a letter form Buffalo saying that no additional documents are required, medicals have been received and confirmation or request to pay RPRF, etc.

No, I do not mean Pre assessment.

There are applicants who have submitted medicals and who later received letters from Buffalo telling them their Initial Assessment is done; an interview is not needed and they should pay RPRF if they have not. This is the Initial Assessment I am referring to.

I am not sure people are stuck because of background check or nationality - I have seen Phillipinos, Indians and other nationailities. My view on this is that they retained some files, which they thought are easiest to process, with all documentation complete, RPRF paid etc. And they transferred the rest to other consulates. I also, think they really had no method or logic; someone just came and picked files at random. I suppose at some point, they thought they would be able tocome back and process these files, but they have been so busy as usual that never got to it

If you look at my file for example, it is probably the most simplest and straightforward of all. I have lived and studied in only 2 counties - India and US. I just think we were just plain unlucky.

What is also worrisome, is unlike others, Buffalo seems to show no progress. So, what does mean, they will keep our files there for the next one year?
