kins4u2,

Please read the section in LA PR email in regard to not submitting passport under certain circumtances. It states clearly that do not submit your passport if you intend to give birth to a child prior to landing in Canada. If this condition apply, you should notify LA immediately and advise them where the birth is expected to take place. Then it states that if you fail to do so, ......

I guess you might have one of the two following ideas at time of your PP submission.

1. You thought if your new child is born in US, then he/she will be a US citizen and no need visa going to Canada. It is completely wrong in immigration regards. I guess that rule is only for temporary visitor.

2. You wanted to land in Canada prior to your new child is born since if LA return your passport within their stated timeline 15 business days (3 weeks), you would have a chance to land and give birth to your new child in Canada. If so, you should notify LA too since it is cutting so close to your planned date.

Now I think you have to and immediately contact LA for your situation and reiterate idea 2 I mentioned above, even though you might have idea 1 in your mind before.

I recall similiar cases were discussed before in this or other thread, please search on that.

Hi Sinbad, I agree with you. Here I got when PPR was requested.

"NOTE: If you are expecting a child and are able to land in Canada before the child is born, you should do so. Failure to land before additional dependants are born will result in the need for a new application and new fees for all family members."

I'm sure that I would not land prior to baby born as per my wife medical condition and I don't want to loose this opportunity.

However, Let's say If I inform them now, Would it be chance to reject my PR visa?

Thanks,

Hello all,

I got my passport request FINALLY after more than 2 years into this program! I sent my passport the same day, and today I got it back with my visa stamped in it! I was super excited, but when I looked at the document closely, I saw that they made a mistake on the country of Citizenship on my CPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence). They put down the country I was born in, as my country of citizenship..... I sent them an email to inquire about that....

Did anyone have any experience with this? I am worried it would take a lot of time to fix this.... I was hoping to do my landing in the next couple of weeks....

It happens to my wife too in Buffalo Consulate, we contact them by email and we were instructed to sent her passport and COPR back, we do that and took 2 or 3 weeks more or less in coming back, but defninetly you need to contact CIC ASAP

Peace!

My CPR has error too, I sent them an email to point out the errors. they replied in two days saying that I don't have to send CPR back for correction and can proceed with my landing but need to notify them for correction at POE about the error.

AVR should work the same way even if its H1, H4 or F1.
