OCTOBER 2014 OUTLAND APPLICATIONS!

Hi Everyone,

How many people have not got an acknowledgement from CIC since posting/couriering their application?

I'm on Day 43- awaiting SA and apart from the confirmation of delivery from the courier co., I've had no emails/letters from CIC regarding the application!

It's just one of those things that as more time goes by, the paranoia keeps increasing!
Driving myself crazy wondering if I made a mistake on the form?!

I sent my appl by courier and CIC M received it on Aug 15, on Sept 23 I received an email that my appl was incomplete because as of Aug 1 all applicants need to send the new IMM 1344.
I sent the new form and according to Canada Post, CIC received it on Oct 15. A week ago I received a call from CIC Mississauga that I was missing my divorce certificate (I don't know how I could have missed that), they gave me a fax number so I faxed it the same day. I checked ecas daily using the receipt number but I can not see it under my name (I am the sponsor). I checked under my husband's old UCI when he lived in Canada and it says the appl was received Oct 15 and medicals received, but I still do not receive acknowledgement of receipt or sponsorship approval.

I did not receive AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt - (apart from fedex confirming it was delivered on Sept 17th) until they sent my husband (my sponsor) an email for SA (Sponsor Approval) on Oct 31st.

He received two emails, - one for AOR and one for SA. I then could not access ECAS (the online site to check your status) until Nov 9th.

I called CIC on Nov 19th and they told me decision has been made that morning. ECAS changed to decision made today - Nov 21st.

Wow. So they processed your application in Mississauga instead of sending it to your local visa office? I guess you had applied as an outland applicant.

Yes I applied as Outland, and instead of going to sydney it stayed in Mississauga. Possibly because my case was as straight forward as they come, maybe because the sydney VO was slammed

hi greetings to everybody, my wife is in Vancouver Canada and I am here in Qatar, we sent our application last january 21, 2013 and the canada embassy started processing our application for PR just this May 16, 2014. I received an email last Sept 15, 2014 asking for all the documents (IMM forms) and I sent it everything without the medicals last Nov 15, 2014 (last week only). My questions are:
1. when will I be receiving a reply?
2. is it through email that they will reply?
3. I sent it through aramex should I be waiting for a reply from them as well?
4. I did not do the medicals yet since when I called the accredited clinic here in qatar by the canada embassy in UAE, they said to do the medicals as soon as I am requested by the embassy
5. will this take long?

My wife and I both applied for a permanent resident last january 2013, i hope they will reply as soon as possible. Any one kindly reply I will highly appreciate it.

If I were you I would call them to make sure they received the requested forms. You will not here from them until they request for the medical. And when you call to see if they received the forms, you might be able to get a better idea on how your case is going

When you say Sydney, are you referring to Sydney Australia?

yes, im applying as an Australian so sydney australia was the visa office to go to

Hey guys ! For october applicants, I got email from cic telling me that they receive my application on oct 1st, 2014. They give a uci number and file number. Just only today in the morning, its been 51 days.. and now waiting for Sponsor Approval..

Thank you for the reply. I tried to call the canada embassy in abu dhabi however they are not entertaining calls, only email, i have already sent them an email last week however to no avail.

I hope they reply soon enough,

I saw this morning that the generic application form IMM 0008 has been updated to November 2014 from August 2014. Therefore my question is what about the people that applied before the new form was updated will they be asked to submit the new form. I am asking if someone applied with the August 2014 form IMM 0008 in September 2014 and October 2014 and haven't gotten there Sponsor approval will they be asked to send in the new form when CIC opens there file for initial review.

Please members who have experienced this please give me some advise.

It depends on when CIC received your documents. CIC will make new editions of the application forms on the 1st of the month, in this case November 1st 2014.

If your application arrived before that you will most likely not be asked to submit the new form. However as always this is at CIC's discretion.

They released a new form on August 1st 2014 and a lot of people were affected. Applications sent at the end of July with the most up-to-date forms at that time were deemed incomplete by CIC and the applicants were asked to submit the new form. Unfair but that is how it is.
