Hi guys,I was asked to send in the new forms would this affect my application time line from the 20th of october 2014?

That is weird because usually when they request forms they request within 30 days of the applications received.
Your being asked for updated forms which doesn't make sense to me. Is ur email stating that the file number is starting with XF...?

Ok thanks for the info, but would this mean that I am going to be push back into the que 85 days?

no one can tell you how long it will affect your application. there are some applications that get processed as soon as the requird docs are recieved, there are some that don't get processed until the "bring forward date" listed on the request letter (the deadline they gave you) and some people get put back in line based on the the application is considered "complete". unfortunatly, there's no consistency with CIC, so it will be difficult to determine what will happen.

no they don't. i don't know where you got that information, but that's wrong. how can they request missing information in 30 days when the applications aren't even opened for 81ish days (per the current wait time)? that makes no sense. an application is not opened when it's first delivered. it sits in a box or drawer and is opened when CIC starts opening applciations from the date it was delivered.

it is very common for CIC to request information after AOR. an AOR doesn't necessarily mean the application is complete, it means cic received and opened the application. CIC can request additional info ANYTIME during the process, there is no specific timeline for when they can or will request info if it's considered missing. I believe the application is considered complete at the same time the sponsor is deemed eligible, and it's confirmed in the SA letter. there is nothing unusual about this whatsoever.

I am interested in knowing what new form were you requested to submit? The one that was changed in November? Or the one from AUgust?

Thanks for that reassuring word. I forgot a form that was requested a few weeks after my application was submitted and I got the requested form back to them in 2 days.

My husband's son is desperate to come up to be with his dad. I feel so badly that my mistake may have delayed the process by another 85 days.

Thanks!!

It'll be processed in Ottawa. I'm not expecting to be processed as quickly as most. I'm still waiting on the FBI report, so we can submit it to CIC. Thats going to hold things up a little longer for us.

Oh and I made one HUGE error. I paid $1115 instead of $1190. They're reimbursing me $415 and I have to pay the Right to PR fee in full of $490, since they do not accept partial payments. I must have chosen the $75 option for my son and not the $150. I hope this doesn't delay it much more either. I'll just have to mail that in when the FBI report arrives.

I'm actually switching over to pay the fee and print out the receipt.

You're not on the spreadsheet....

You should call, the CIC site has listed the 27th as the date they're working on.
