Mav, it looks that this is SA, and after Andrew's response it looks he thought about final DM, for the whole application. If you got your AOR just last week, I would say this is SA. Not sure if I understand it correctly, you wrote nothing about your timeline other than AOR last week, so this would be my conclusion )

It is just for the sponsor application, I'm really hoping and praying that it is SA but i'm just a little bit confused because most of us here got their SA through email and i haven't got anything yet except for the AOR I received via email.

I got AOR via email but SA via snail mail.
Also, my ecas status said decision made (and 9 days later, the Sponsorship approval arrived by canada post!)
I didn't get an email for SA! Even after AOR was sent by email.

I'm pretty sure it's a positive decision for you.

I read on another forum that if it's a negative decision, it says something like.
"A decision was made regarding your application, A CIC EXECUTIVE WILL CONTACT YOU FOR FURTHER INFORMATION" or something similar.
But if it says "A letter was sent on xx/xx/xxxx regarding your decision, 99.9% it's a positive one!

Also, under your spouse's PR application if it says:
1.application recd
2. medicals recd
then it means it's positive because they don't acknowledge that unless the sponsor has been approved.

Okay so I had my info wrong a little, my app was received on October 30,2014. Not the previous Oct.27. Lawyer did not tell me exact date, but I know this now because I received AOR email today at 2pm. Wonderful news just in time for anniversary.

Did you check on ecas with the UCI number in your AOR? It might have been update online and they may have send you a snail mail. You can also call them and ask what going on? They have updated online today, they are working on 27th Oct. applications as of 21st Jan.

i did. but still application received. might be a factor that i am bound to Quebec and province should review my application also? hhaaaaay....

Hi Kristel,

Your SA will come soon.
If it's been 90 days, you should call them, they'll put a case specific enquiry on your file number & you'll definitely get an answer from them shortly after that.
Also as Sunnycool said, check ecas regularly.
Because it just suddenly changes-
When I started checking it, it said application received for DAYYYYYSSS and then suddenly one day it said decision made.
Didn't even say it was approved!
Got AOR on 3rd jan too, and received SA by canada post on the 21st! No news before then!

Maybe someone turned on filters?

People, please don't do it! You are not only one person (whoever does it) watching the spreadsheet, so when you do this, it changes for everybody who currently is watching! Yesterday I was trying to unfilter, so we could see all applicants, but somebody else kept changing filters in same time! Very confusing, really. If you guys need to know how your VO works, please go to VO specific thread, or copy-paste all info from public google form to your own, private, and then use filters. Don't change anything on public version, please.
