still waiting. app filed 10/23. My sad life story continues.... ???

Do you have AOR?
Did you call them?

No matter what are your answers above, call them and ask, they passed Oct 23rd, I think most of us has already SA's, not only AOR's. Call them definitely!

Oh yea you should definitely make those changes.. im not sure if it may delay or not though

I don't think it will delay anything, some people pay fees after getting SA. Just make it proper amount, send to your VO receipt, attach your UCI number, and it should be ok, with no delays.

I called last Friday and they gave me a number XF00031*7**

He told should hear within a week. Week passed today....no AOR or SA.

He also told that remove that X from informt of above number and then you can check status online but only after it is in process which it was not. But I forgot to ask what is that number...

Immigration file #/Application #
Client ID #
Receipt #

Any guesses? Thanks!

it is the application number. *if* it works, then it will most likely only work with the sponsor's personal information. generally ECAS doesn't start working until SA has been received.

Yes I was given an XF # what can i access with this #?

Finally joining the group as I can't wait in silence any more! :P

-Mailed my application through Canada post on Oct. 10.
-Application was received at CPC-Mississauga on Oct. 15.
-I received an email from CIC on Dec. 11 of sponsorship approval (SA was approved same day -- Dec. 11). Email included UCI number.
-My Husband received an email from CIC on Dec. 18 saying: "This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/10/15."
-As of today (Jan.23) E-Cas still says "Application Received" for husbands PR application.

The waiting is killing me. I just found out two days ago I am pregnant with our second child. We have been together for 3 years and have been married for 1 year. I'm hoping he is here by the summer.

I received SA on Dec 4th. On my ECAS , "medicals received" hasn't shown up. My medicals were done upfront. Is there anybody in similar situation? Are medicals supposed to have been matched up already after a month and a half of SA approval?

Thanks in advance!

The X means you're not quite in the system yet. Once you are, the X gets dropped.

Go to ecas and type in the application number but drop the X. Once it shows up, you're underway...

Use the UCI number and the details of the sponsor (given name and DOB) in the ecas. It should be there, if it doesn't show than I guess you'll have to wait till your SA.

hi guys! i am worried because we received the AOR on January 3 but until now no SA yet... i am really worried...

Hi Kristel! Same here. Received an AOR in the 10th telling us that they have received our application on the 24th and until now, still nothing. It's been 2 weeks. Checking the processing time, it worries me more seeing that they are now working on papers received on October 27. :( I have checked my ECAS as well and it still says "APPLICATION RECEIVED".

Have you tried calling them?

hey guys,

- i sent off my application in september; it was received according to tracking code a few days later
- october 14, 2014 CIC sent me an email requesting a translation of my german police certificate (yes, stupid me forgot about it)
- october 27, 2014 i sent off the letter with translation of my police certificate; i assume it was received a few days later - maybe a week at max.

SO i understand that the processing time only applies to complete application packages...meaning whenever my translation of police certificate was received - that's when i start counting...right?

now i have another question:
i understand that you've to keep CIC updated on any changes...my common-law partner (and sponsor) had changed his jobs october 1, 2014; so on november 28, 2014 (after his probation was over) i sent them an email with the new letter of employment attached stating that i had sent the original by mail...

this shouldn't effect the timeline of the first stage (SA) approval though right? since it was just an "update"...

after i hadn't heard anything for a while, i sent them an email december 17, 2014 asking about SA approval...i got an email right back saying that my application is in process and they "thank me for my patience"... :D no patience over here!!!!

hmm...oh...also:
how do you get notified about SA approval? will we receive a letter in the mail? will i get an email or my sponsor or both?

thanks a lot guys! <3

hello! try to use the UCI on the email they sent u. and use the last name and DOB of the person sponsoring u. I was worried but my husband tried to access it using his information and there, it says, we will send a mail regarding our application like that. and he just received it today and it was SA.

glory be to GOD.

Hi Kristel,

Your SA will come soon.
If it's been 90 days, you should call them, they'll put a case specific enquiry on your file number & you'll definitely get an answer from them shortly after that.
Also as Sunnycool said, check ecas regularly.
Because it just suddenly changes-
When I started checking it, it said application received for DAYYYYYSSS and then suddenly one day it said decision made.
Didn't even say it was approved!
Got AOR on 3rd jan too, and received SA by canada post on the 21st! No news before then!

Good luck! Hope you get it soon!

bonjour tanny girl!
my husband tried to access ecas and they said that they will send a mail to him. just now that he received it and thanks God, it was a SA and our application was been transferred to our VOon the 15th.
glory be to God! praying a continuous and fast flow of all October applicants

Hi Freshman,

Same with me! I received SA on Dec. 11! My husband did his medicals way in advanced (in May 2014) and E-cas still hasn't said "Medicals Received"! It only says "Application Received".

I was under the impression it should say medicals received, as I have friend who is going through the same process and her's said "Medicals Received" two days after she got SA!

The only thing I can think of is, it was the holidays, so there must be a back log due to vacations.

I'll give it another week before I send an email or give them a call!
