Bls status is showing in transit consulate to bls, do you get any update?

I got mine on Friday. The status is still dispatched on the site. You would receive it too.

20-JUL-2026 : GRANTED [BUT GRANTED DATE SHOWS 21-JULY-2026]

I can also see partially masked OCI number.

Along with this, I see 3 more updates on OCI portal which tells me I will NOT receive physical OCI card:

OCI card dispatched from printing cell on 21/JUL/2026
OCI card received at Mission/FRRO on 21/JUL/2026
OCI card delivered to applicant on 21/JUL/2026

I have already clicked on "generate e-oci" and waiting for my pdf.

I don't expect BLS status to update. But if I magically get physical OCI card, I'll let you guys know.

This likely confirms per this forum that OCI cards issued post July 8 will be solely e-oci cards and physical booklets will no longer be issued.

BLS better refund my courier money LOL. By the way, there was a link to accept fti-ttp terms and conditions on oci portal which said my oci biometric will be re-used for e-gates fti-ttp registration. Looks like e-oci to fti-ttp e-gates transition will be seamless and doesn’t require any separate registration.

I am in a similar boat. OCI has been granted but has not been received at the Mission yet.

Same question - will we receive the booklet?

Update: i received my booklet yesterday afternoon.

Has anyone recently applied for an OCI? I have a question regarding the Place of Birth field.

My Indian passport lists my place of birth as "DELHI", while my Canadian passport shows "DELHI IND".

I've called the BLS call center multiple times, but I've received conflicting information. Some representatives say I should enter DELHI, others say DELHI IND, and a few have even said I need to submit a notarized affidavit because of the difference.

I'm looking to hear from someone who has recently gone through the OCI application process and had a similar situation. What did you enter, and were you asked for any additional documents?

For Canadian passport, you have option to do it urgent basis, but for surrender Indian passport and OCI, minimum 2-3 months

Congratulations! It will be the same portal. You'll now see one extra tab called "e-oci".
