Applied at BLS Toronto

6-JUN-2026 : UNDER-PROCESS [The application is not acknowledged at the Mission/ FRRO yet]
22-JUN-2026 : UNDER-PROCESS, Acknowledged
Hey!
I have a similar timeline. Applied June 9 at BLS toronto - Acknowledged June 26. Any further update for you ?
According to the timelines I have being reading around - Your application should either be close to being granted or already granted by now. Let us know if there are any updates

Still under process. I will post as soon as it changes to granted.

Its been close to a month now, my OCI was granted. I recently downloaded eOCI as well. It says that they have dispatched the booklet from printing cell but not received in FRRO/MISSION.

With the fact that eOCI has been given, will I ever receive the hard copy or they stopped distribution of it
I am in a similar boat. OCI has been granted but has not been received at the Mission yet.

Same question - will we receive the booklet?

The nightmare begins...

After avoiding applying for OCI for quite some time looks like the time has come for me to get on this rollercoaster.
Just started going through the OCI portal; most likely it's the BLS or not sure if CGI Toronto. What a nightmare! There was a drop down for required items checklist and two out of the 4 options open the same checklist for me i.e. for having Indian parents. Is that the one to use? Looking at it they require parents passport and birth certificate and all of that. Really? Why should I need all of that if I was a citizen? If I book so called premium I need to know what all to carry. Any inputs are appreciated.

This system seems to have been built 20 years ago and I can hold on for a couple of months if there is any news when and if the new digital application system is going to come. Hopefully that has a more logical set of requirements.

It's just an error on BLS's website. When you open the document requirements to apply OCI for people who were previously Indian, you land up on requirements of "How to apply - Fresh OCI Card for adults whose parents were Indian Citizens". And vice versa. This is because they mismatched the links to the category.

I saw this problem too when I was applying. For your case, just try to open the document requirements for "Fresh OCI Card for adults whose parents were Indian Citizens", then you will land on the correct version for yourself - i.e. people who were previously Indian. And in that, there is no requirement for parent's passport

Thanks for sharing the workaround!!

I am in same boat, applied BLS Brampton on June 20, granted July 2, OCI card dispatched from printing cell July 7, but not received yet at mission. Was able to download the eOCI card.
That's really fast. By any chance did you mean May 20? ;)
You should receive it by next week since you said it is already dispatched.
