The most reliable is direct from the government without intermediaries.

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do

I'm not against using an outside service if you want or need to for some reason, but they'll just file the request for you.
fully agree, you can request directly from the government and that's the correct site to request the gcms notes yourself.

be sure to select the Privacy Act if you are doing it yourself. If a friend is helping you then use the Access to Information Act. in the case of the latter you will need to complete a consent form. that form is available at https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5744e.pdf this form is valid for 1 year from when it's signed. if you are concerned about safety and security then use this form which is only valid for 30 days consent.gcmsnotes.com both forms are valid and accepted by IRCC

To see a sample gcms file before your go through the process see sample.gcmsnotes.com and some other things to consider when you request https://link.gcmsnotes.com/place-order-2b3bd

full disclosure: we are an intermediary as @armoured mentioned behind caipsnotes.com and gcmsnotes.com and in this field since 2002.

Oh ok, got it.
My husband is Sponsor and I'm PA. He's Canadian so I guess he should be doing it, and in the form he's the designated representative?

perfect, if you are using the form at https://consent.gcmsnotes.com you fill your info in section A and your husband in section C. be sure to follow the date convention mentioned by IRCC and be sure to hand sign in ink. IRCC may make exceptions and accept e-sign due to the pandemic but it's recommended to hand sign in ink. after you request it does not affect your ability see GC key and use the tool. good luck

Hi, everyone.... I just here to tell whoever thinking about applying for a trv for your spouse to go ahead and take the chance... it's worth it! Nothing to loose other than a $100. I know spousal sponsorship process will be really slow even after opening as a lot of people will be without jobs and immigration Canada will take alot of things into consideration before accepting more permanent residence into the country... I would say for those people who are lucky to still have a job and has already been approved as a sponsor go a head and apply. This shows immigration canada that you are desperate to be with your family and that you are in a stable position to accommodate them..
i apples and they unapproved it

Thanks for the optimism :) IRCC and CBSA are releasing conflicting information when it comes to reunification of the family. IRCC counts partners being with each other in this difficult period as "essential" where as CBSA doesn't. Looks like it'll take a few days for the departments to align. If my wife's visa if approved, we'll work with a lawyer so that we are not denied entry.

Can me as the spouse apply for them from Canada?

I am sorry, IRCC was cheeky! They updated the page to remove the "Family reunification" clause from the instructions. I realized this when I was about to submit the visa for my spouse. I reviewed the page and it was gone! I am not applying for TRV until they add the family reunification thing back

Hey! No update on my wife’s file since December too. I applied for GCMS notes today. She had biometrics done. I am applying for a TRV with the help of a consultant as this covid will only delay processing of applications.
Please update here how your wife's TRV processing going. Thanks
