Normal Processing Times from Calgary office?

@ dineshabe I was looking at other forums and someone posted that they wrote the test last week and their file was transferred to Calgary office on Aug 29, 2013. So if CIC Calgary is consistent they should be inviting to the test people with applications transferred to local office in September and October. So hopefully you will get your invitation to the test in the next few weeks if not days. Please keep us updated as my file was transferred to Calgary on Dec 18, 2013. Thanks

Calgary CIC seems to be dealing with a 'significant' number of applications that went 'In Process' in Q1 2013 but got transferred in Q3 2013. These primarily applications submitted to Sidney at the end of Q2, all of Q3 and all of Q4 2012. My take is that the volume of batch pull files due to the flooding is such that its difficult to extrapolate going 'In Process' with a potential test date. From ATIP releases CIC nominally aims to test you within 9 months of the transfer date..my take for Calgary is that capacity is being controlled by the test being done right at the 9 month mark.

I hang out on a couple of other forums and there is a Lethbridge (covered by Calgary) applicant:

1. Submitted in April 2013
2. In Process July 2013
3. Request for Further Info Sep 2013 (Sydney did not return back the application which had missing documents saving his/her place in line)
4. Info sent Oct 2013.
5. Scheduled test and oath same date if passed April 2014

12 months can be done by Calgary it seems...this indicates its a resource issue!

That was pretty quick on time.

My time line:
Sent Nov 2012 - Returned back Dec 2012 - Because they changed the English language requirements.

I sent in a new application Jan 2013.
In Process Mar 20 2013
Transferred to local office Nov 1st week 2013
Since then been lying at the Calgary CIC Office.

I just pulled my CAIPS notes, got them yesterday...
Last update in the notes section was CAIPS notes sent, and the previous note was transferred to CIC Calgary.

No update in the notes from the Calgary office.
So since November 2013, the file has just been sitting there.

Any estimates?

There is a May, 2013 applicant (check May thread) who has received a test notice for April, 2014. So, I think Calgary is getting a little bit better!

Nope not yet, as per my observation it looks like they are sending test invitations to the applicants who's files were transferred in October 2013. Mine was transferred in December 2013 so maybe in a month or two Ill hear from them.
