I called IRCC today and the security still hasnt started. same status since November. I contacted my local MP but his office says 20 months timeline applies to you so you are within time. Even though IRCC website says it applies to appliction submitted now. IRCC confirmed the same thing that time of 20 months applies to us.

this is so frustrating and I am not sure what to do at this stage.

@Miss bee if i leave Canada now until I get my PR, would that affect my PR application. I am now seriously thinking of going back to home country rather than lingering here. Who knows the next month they ll increase the time to 24 months and then that applies to us.

So for my PR application, my MP reached out to IRCC and they flipped criminality from not started to complete, as it seems like they made a mistake. Basically criminality was completed months ago but they set it as nto started during switch to next office. However, now my Security is in "not started" and everything else is completed. The agent who reviewed the note from MP put a note on the file saying :
"Pending verifications, will continue processing after"

What could this mean exactly? Is it possible that security is in progress and they messed up like criminality and put the wrong status?

How did you contacted your MP?

No reason, they say it's normal processing time. I'm not even in extended security check. Just the office being slow.

I'm on comprehensive security check
And its have been pass 690 days or 22 months and 21 days.
My AOR was April 4, 2023. but I did submit on Feb 28, 2023.

I did get extend my work permit until end of 2027 but that is not solution.
I don't know what to say and what to think. I just want my suffering come to end, regardless of if I am rejected or accepted for the PR at this point I don't care.

Okay, Now I have some information, first of all whichever the application goes to Winnipeg is processed until Background check except for security they are transferring it to Windsor office for further processing because as per one WA group I just saw two people got their PR FD today had Winnipeg as their PVO and then it switched to Windsor.

When did those people apply?
They requested ADR from me in December, yet still haven't looked at it as per GCMS.
so my application has been in windsor for 6 months, meaning I've been in security for 6 months even though it's not comprehensive
The gcms notes are every 3-4 months, so it shows you how slow they are.
