You can’t extend this portal request. August is too far . You should provide them requested information and let them know that you are outside Canada and won’t be returning soon . Delaying them information can result in refusal of application or abandoned. If impossible to return reply to that email and tell them you want to proceed outside of Canada and will send passport to local visa office for stamping. For now just tell them that you are outside.Hi @Miss bee and others,
I need some clarification please. Today, I received the Portal 1 email and can see my COPR details on the IRCC tracker (with the background status is marked as completed, and eligibility is not started.). The Portal 1 email asks for our current presence, but I am currently outside Canada and plan to return during the first week of August. So, when I reply to the Portal 1 email (within 7 days of its receipt), I will mention these same facts (in the required template).
My question is: Could this extended stay outside Canada negatively impact my further PR process or cause further delays in Portal 2? I understand that once I return to Canada in the first week of August, I will again need to reply to the Portal 1 email to confirm my presence in Canada.
Thank you in advance.
Thanks, @Miss bee. What I meant is that I will respond twice: once now (within 7 days) stating I am outside Canada amongst other information points, and again during the first week of August 2024 after I return to Canada. Do you still foresee any risks or negative impacts on further process due to my prolonged stay outside Canada? You can’t extend this portal request. August is too far . Usually they don’t hold your application that long. Just reply to email and ask them to change your application to outside Canada. Thanks, @Miss bee. I received AOR and BIL today .I have applied on Feb 13, 2024 and haven't received AOR yet.
Yes, you will receive BIL for PR even you have a valid biometric for a temporary visa.Hi,
I have submitted my Non express entry PR application and I am waiting for my AOR. Just wondering if myself and dependents have to do our Biometrics? We did our biometrics before entering Canada in 2019 for our TRV, do we have to do it again? I have the same question with the Medicals, do we have to do it again, even though we did it for the TRV. Please advise.

Hello,
What are your thoughts on getting the medical exam done and submitted prior AOR. I got my Temporary File Number (TFN) from IRCC and was thinking to do medical upfront and submit it through webform using TFN. I have seen people saying it is better to submit medical upfront so that it saves time in processing. However, I have also read it is not recommended to do medical examination without IRCC requesting. I'm not sure what is the best way.
I haven't done any medical exams in past for IRCC.
Please provide your experience and expertise.
Thank you.
