My background check wentt from in progress to not needed at this time

Any of you tried this link for the application status

i tried couple of times but it didnt worked for me.

ECAS hasn't worked for anyone from last couple of months!!

I am in the same boat today. I am CEC candidate INLAND.
Today, I saw my profile and BG check process went back to "Not needed at this time" from "In Progress". Guys anyone has any idea why it happened?

ITA Received : DEC 4th
Application Submitted : Jan 27th
Medical Passed: Feb 2nd
BG Process : "In Progress" FEB 3rd
"Not needed at this time" Feb 18th

what's wrong here as I didn't get request to submit extra document, Idk what to do?

Its ok.. that is normal. I have seen many cases where it goes back to not needed. But keep an eye when it goes back to in progress you will be expecting PPR soon after that.

I believe it might be for those who are CEC inland candidate? not sure

FSW Inland. Absolutely no idea what this means to Inland candidates. May be a change of VO.

I believe the background check is the longest process instead of review of eligibility.

My question is:
If you are inland applicant then Canada VO checks your background but does it send your application to local VO of all countries which you lived at and you submitted PCC for?

If that is the case then more countries you visit (for more than 6 months), the more time it will take to process your application

I have been living in two countries so far which is my Home country India and living in Canada for almost 6 years.
They didn't ask me to submit PCC for Canada , but yes I did submit PCC for India too. I hope this shouldn't be a longer process for them.

My case is the same but I lived in Nepal for two years so I have one PCC extra. I didn't submit Canada PCC as they check BG themselves.

My question is: do they verify our BG again by giving file to local VOs? let's say in my case, they will do by BG check in Canada and ask VOs in Nepal and India to verify the background?

Just was curious if that can be possibility

To be honest I have no idea about that whether they will be going to check with local VO in Nepal & India, and that may took more time to proceed.
But yes they will check by each country for BG screen and that thoroughly depends on them the way they check.

I just got email from CIC regarding for my profile updates. As I checked yesterday about my BG process change back to "Not needed at this time " from "In Progress"
That means my profile has been updated first and email received day after profile update.
