My background check wentt from in progress to not needed at this time

The exact same thing happened to me a week (or so) ago. Don't try to make sense of anything in the CIC's system.

I guess we'll know better once the 25,000 shepherds are done being processed and our applications get some attention.

I got additional document request and RPRF in 5 Nov and in 12 Nov i got DM Approved

How did you upload the RPRF confirmation? I don't have any place to upload it. I just sent a CSE and attached the proof of payment.

They did, but from not needed to in progress

There is nothing there. I can only see what I've submitted and how much I've paid. Nothing more.

How long on average Background check takes?

Does it depend on a country guys?

Not entirely clear if it depends on the country of residence. Some data points suggest that it does, but some other data points refute that.
For FSW outland, the average time it took from Background in progress to PPR used to be 3-5 weeks. Now, it seems to be going up to 6-8 weeks (this is based on my own personal observation and the slow down that most applicants are experiencing)

I was in the shoe..
My BG check moved backwards after I got the additional documents request. At that time, I got ghost email, but one day after I found my status changed backwards..

And After few days passed I submitted my requested doc, i found 'ghost' update on CIC(it says updated but nothing changed) , next day I got update email, and could see BG check went back to in progress.(Nov. 20)


I expected some good news after that.. but so far nothing happens..
