Based on our case, I wouldn't fear that.

Hey I'm pretty new to the forum but I filed my application in July 17. Just got notified yesterday that I am eligible to sponsor my common law boyfriend. Canadiangirl78 I was wondering if you could tell me more about your case. Obviously the second part of the processing is supposed to take 12 months so they say. But is it more likely to be about 6 months because things are pretty straight forward with us. Everything is so far so good!

wow! that was a really fast approval. right now isnt it like 3 months.
lucky you guys!!.

it says 12 months
but the average is 6-8 months for mexico

especially being straight forward i would say expect about 6 months for approval :)

yay!!
we just got an email from the embassy saying they used our prepaid waybill to send us correspondance or something like that.
and to wait for the mail to arrive.

so i am assuming and crossing my fingers it is the PGR letter, they didnt specifically say! but i dunno what else it would be!

:)

I never got notified that they used my prepaid waybill. I found out because I kept checking the tracking # like a madman.

Im confused why our tracking number shows nothing!!!

I checked it like 5 times today like a manwoman! lol.

because they said they sent the waybill yesterday. so you would think at least by today the tracking number would be in the system. but it still comes up nothing :( ...

do you have any idea how long it might take for it to get from mexico city to gdl??

That would depend on the kind of service you got. I'm not sure. Mine was overnight with DHL.

It doesn't say on your receipt?

That would be AMAZING! But I'm not holding my breath! :) There are 6 of us now around the same step. It will be interesting to see what happens when all our PGRs are in! :) There could be 6 more Mexicans in Canada soon! :)

Ya that's true right.. A lot of us are on the same step.
Now its a race to the finish line.
Canada would be celebrating if they dropped in our 6 mexican spouses all at once :D

I can't wait for more PPRs!!! So exciting to see everyone so close!
