Has anyone flew with us airways before?
ive decided im not flying with air canada from gdl to calgary, they are trying to charge me 600-1000 dollars!!!. stupid stupid air canada!!,
anyways so flying to canada, the cheapest flight i found was with us airways and only had a 3 hour layover instead of a 15 hour layover.

so has anyone flown with them..
are they any good?

thanks

No I haven't, but did you look in to busing it to PV and flying with WestJet? They do direct, and sometimes its pretty cheap.

yeah i looked into it.
but the air fare, plus the cost to bus would end up being about the same price. So i figure i might as well just fly from GDL. save me the hassle of bussing to PV.

but when i come back to mexico im considering it, because it might be cheaper, and maybe i can get my hubby to pick me up in PV and we can spend a couple days there ;) haha.

Ive flown with them a few times my flight next week is with them. Never had any problems the flight attendants aren't the friendliest but besides that they're ok. Have u tried United? They sometimes have cheap flights too.

o okay! thats good to hear! that makes me feel better about going with them. :)
i looked at united but the cheaper ones will leave me with a 10-15 hour layover.
So Us airways seems more reasonable.

Are you looking at 2 one ways or round-trip? Round-trip is usually cheaper...

2 one ways. Because I have 224 credit from air canada that I have to use.
But lemme check. Maybe it will be cheaper with the round trip. Ill look into that thanks.

:)

I just looked into it, and its 200 cheaper to buy the two one ways.
so looks like ill end up doing that.
:)

thanks for the help!

If you don't mind me prying, what days are you planning to travel (and how flexible are you)?

I ask because I took a peek and during September I'm seeing US$597 including taxes and fees for GDL-YYC round trip (via PHX) for 2 weeks (stays from 10-14 nights) with lots of options for itineraries on or after Sept 5 or US$644 on United, also round trip.

no problem. lol. well my health insurance runs out the first week of sept. so im really wanting to go back that week, it would be the best.
and also I have to fly out on a weekend, as thats the only time i can get a ride to the airport, and also have someone able to pick me up in calgary and drive me to red deer.
so i mean i can be flexible but that weekend would be the most ideal.

my dad just told me he may have enough aeroplan miles, as hes been collecting them and doesnt know how to use them, :P so i might be able to get a free flight with us airways which would be great!! but not confirmed yet.

Well, AC is nice because they use long-haul planes (whereas US airlines use the domestic planes) :) And miles are nice so if he has enough miles and you find availability, I say go for the miles but on AC!

If not, take a look at my prior post - I added the prices I was seeing and let me know if it would be helpful to get details. You may also want to talk to your other half about Sept 16 plans (it's Mexican Independence Day so he may have days off)

those prices are both for united though, right?

i dunno how to use aeroplan with air canada. when i go to the website to look it up. the only flights that come up at us airways. it doesnt bring any flights up for air canada to use aeroplan. so that confuses me a bit.
