'Medical results have been received' and Waiting for PPR

Dear All,

Anybody on this forum, have experienced 3rd time Medical request or 2nd is the maximum they can request.

My attorney told me that they can only request second medical if something out ordinary is confirmed in the I tai report. If the 2nd medical is requested and still dissatisfy CIC , they might ask u to proof that u wouldn't be a medical burden to the Canadian social system.

i jus wanted to ask about the dd encashment which you have mentioned there in your ecas , i mean how did you come to know about the encashment ?? could you please elaborate how should i approach to know whether mine dd has been encashed or not ? i had sent pp,fee, medical altogether on 14th november . i have still not heard about dm !!!

Had our medicals done by July 10th of 2013. I have checked the status of my application online and there are 2 lines that show the following:

Application Submitted in April of 2013
Medicals Received

It's been now over 6 months since we had our medicals done and still no news of PPR, does anybody know if this is normal wait for PPR? Should we be worried?

Dear joshu,

i made DD in INR and confirmed from bank about the encashment of same by NDVO.

It is difficult to know the encashment of DD in CAD as it takes time as told by HDFC to me.

I never got the medicals received line in ecas and I have already landed Not having this line does not mean anything.

your file security BGC in process it may take 6-10 months, dont worry now in coming months u will get PPR. nekeol

Hi Fahad,

This is normal, don't compare your case to others. Traditionally it has been observed that people who have traveled out of their home country have longer processing times.

Regarding your query about the additional costs you may incur ($400):

IELTS: You will not be required to redo IELTS, the points for English are already given before your application goes into "In Process" stage.

PCC UK & Pakistan: You will at some stage be asked to resubmit your PCC. I am surprised they have not asked for it already, as they usually like to have this valid throughout the application process (yes this means several PCCs maybe asked for till you get your PR). However you are not required to submit PCC of all the countries you have lived in like the first time. They will only ask you for the updated PCC of the country you currently reside in.

can i use different occupation while filling the form in the ciip website which is not a part of occupation list.

This is normal. For some reason (probably because VOs are sadists ) some people are asked to do their medicals before the security and background checks are done. GCMS notes cannot tell you anything about your background checks apart from are they completed or not.

Hey guys, I have a question regarding medicals and eCAS.
So I did my medicals on December 4th, 2013. I didn't see an update to my eCAS and called the CIC call center. I was told that the results were received on December 30th and the application is still in process. It is January 14th today, and I still don't see an update to my eCAS stating that medicals have been received. Do you find this unusual or do we have other such examples?

Mine took about two months one week before "Medical results Received" line was added. You are within striking distance.
