Hello everyone,
I could use some guidance on the best next steps.
We’ve just received the passport request (PPR) for my wife’s TRV (visitor visa). Meanwhile, her spousal PR application is in the final stages.
I have a couple of questions:
1- Is it okay to get the TRV stamped now, and then later, when we receive the PR PPR, get that stamped as well? After that, she would travel and land as a permanent resident. Would this be a problem.
2- If we get the TRV stamped but later receive the PR PPR and don’t get it stamped, and she travels to Canada on her TRV—can she still do virtual landing from within Canada without any issues?
So overall, should we:
Send the passport now for TRV stamping, and wait for the PR approval to follow?
Or would you recommend waiting it out for PR PPR instead?
I could use some guidance on the best next steps.
