MAY 2013 Applications (Citizenship)

Applicants on the east side of Canada don't get asked for their fingerprints (at least I haven't gotten across one case). Any idea when does the CIC agency request that? Is their a pattern is number of months? Let us know curious.

The letter is issued and sent from Vancouver local office at Nov 18th. So apparently, the agent I called this Monday didn't look into my file. He told me that my file was in Sidney. Now it seems like he was lying.

Jess, when you called, the agent mentioned your file is waiting on background checks and is still in the Sydney office right? I got the same answer when I called them and the agent said my file is still at Sydney. I'm now wondering if my file has been transferred as well and agents are just lazy and using a default answer.

Exactly!! Now I am pretty sure he was just lazy and using a default answer.
Btw, where were you applying from?

i think the information we are getting on file transfer via CIC agent is not reliable. you ll get different answers from CIC agents. therefore, i stopped inquiring about file transfer. Direct evidence of file transfer will be: if we get something (for example fingerprint request, RQ or test date) from local office.

Test was good, I got 20/20, i would recommend reading - www dot yourlibrary dot ca website for preparation, also take photocopy of your entire passport if you have traveled outside, i hope to hear soon on oath ceremony.

I think we have at least few months time before we get any test date i feel. ( around jan) we may get test notifications.

I called CIC and was informed that my application is currently in the St Clair office as of October 24th.

Apparently, it was originally sent to the Scarborough office and transferred to St Clair.

I hope all is well.
