Any recent experiences? I’ve been waiting over a month (23 business days) and still haven’t received my passport.

Here’s my timeline:
  • Invited to the citizenship-to-passport pilot: May 27
  • Submitted my application and supporting documents via Canada Post Connect: May 28
  • Took the oath on June 2 and submitted the signed oath form the same day
  • The only update so far has been the confirmation in Canada Post Connect on June 18

I have travel booked for around July 16, which will be 31 business days (45 calendar days) since completed application. I thought that would be plenty of time, but I’m starting to get a bit nervous.

What are my options other than emailing cit2passport email id?(just got automated response about timelines - not much help)

Any other way to contact them?

Thanks for the tip. They were able to find the file number and confirm the approval. It is delayed by a couple of business days - ETA end of this week ~26 business days total.

I was told citizenship agents don’t have access to see the files submitted via the pilot program. Looks like that has changed.

The number I gave you above (and the link page) was to the passport office. They have information about ... passports.

Citizenship (IRCC) /might/ in some cases have certain info, but they're not directly responsible for ... passports.

You’d think! LOL

Passport office had no visibility into the applications submitted through Cit2Passport pilot - confirmed by some redditors who called both passports and IRCC. Looks like they have made the update recently.

Today the agent was able to look up the file number after confirming personal details (Name, DOB, City and Country of Birth, Address).

Ha, fair enough. Glad you've tracked it down, anyway.
